I see you rant at luv dismissing summin about reggae dude so i went back a few posts and looked up some tunes & that guy was a proper legend

Yeah it’s an absolute classic that. Probably the track that propelled Grace Jones to mega star status too.

Like I said, I didn’t realise Sly & Robbie co wrote that track. They left their stamp on so many tunes and worked and produced with tons of artists across different genres.

true pioneers and Robbie Shakespeare is a big loss to the music scene

Yeah man Sly & Robbie invented that style where the chorus is sung and the verses are rapped by somebody else

That formula has been used hundreds of times since

No more at the moment, I found it on an album I've booked marked, then went and looked for the individual recording of it.

It was the first track on this album...
