Definitely. From the old lead mining days but I think it was closer to a pie with a crimp in the middle. Nearest I have heard was something like a tiddy oggy but there is naval and mining usage of that.Love a cornish pastie.
You.ll probably know this better than me. A traditional pastie was both savoury and sweet.
i.e. one half was a meat pasty. Then the other a sweet pasty of apples or berries etc.
This was for the workers. Miners etc.
So they could have a whole meal contained in one pasty.
