You'd need to start with doing some photoshop stills first, because there's terms that would mean nothing to you otherwise. I use a free one I found on the net. You start with a picture, then just add the faces you want by using 'layers' over the top. Use another picture of a face you want, if you use google images you can choose the right size pic. Then you use an 'eraser' tool to basically rubout the rest of the pic leaving just the face, then move it in to position. With moving gifs its similar, but with multiple face expessions for how many frames of movement. I could probably talk you through a 'still' easy enough, but not a gif....there I again I might just keep my secrets to myself! <laugh>

Cheers anyways notso, but i'll leave the banter to you. I'm going to get photoshop though, so hopefully i'll understand the jargon soon! <laugh>

It's easy.

Picture - Get a picture you want to change the heads on and just add the heads of the players etc you want to add

or

Moving Gif - You can import a short movie into photoshop and repeat the picture part above on each frame. Then save it as a gif.

Going over board and spending 2 months with adobe Flash (Animation), Photoshop (edit pics & removing background of MOTD vid clips), After Effects (for the end wording & puttign the whole vid together) that came with a macbook you bought off ebay for £400 along with a copy of Logic Pro 7.2 to record your crap voices... having never used flash or after effects before but thought this would be a good way to learn... and a recording of a game on PES 2009 you can come up with this:

that monologue should have ended with "priceless", MOTS! haha

good effort on that vid! just out of interest, was the entire "legends" team made up of 11 rocky dennis's? I didn't see the name at the bottom change once!

cracking lookalike though! hahahaha

Cheers, I'll never do it again though cos it just took forever to do!

I think it just shows Rocky because that's my legend. Never really noticed <laugh> I make a Rocky Dennis every year to be my player on Become a Legend. First thing I do when my copy of PES arrives every October ;)

are those your impressions too? <laugh>

Not merged over to Fifa yet then? I was a big Pro evo fan for years, but just got sick of them never having the licenses! there's only so much of "middlebrook" and "west london white" one can take, before getting incredibly fed up!

Yep the impressions all my doing (badly) <laugh>

Licencing never bothered me, it's more that game play. I used to play FIFA back in the sega days but moved to ISS pro then missed Pro evo until PES 4 and bought every single one since. Tried FIFA a couple of times on 2010 & 2011 (not this years tho) and just didn't like the dodgy ball macanics as if it was floating etc. Will say this tho, if PES 13 doesn't sort it's **** out then I might have to move over to FIFA. One good thing about PES online over FIFA is that you don't get bad losing kids ;)

I've always found Photoshop to be too much. Too many options, too many effects, too many brushes, too many pound notes. I've found Paint Shop Pro is a better option for the simpler stuff, and it can do most of what Photoshop can do, and it's within most people's price range *snigger*.

Never been a fan of Flash or GIFs either - the lack of colour in GIFs does my nut in. Plenty of 2D animation programs out there. Many of them free.

GIF's are just 256 colour plate but I know what you mean. Even JPEG feels very low rez after working at 300dpi. But the gif thing is ok for those animations.

Don't think I have ever paid for photoshop <whistle>
