Brownie couldn't handle the Premiership in the end, not to say he initially didn't work wonders for us. I'm sure he'd do things a bit differently next time. He does talk utter gibberish at times but compared to Iain Dowie he speaks total sense!

You mean like having a player walk out on the club for personal reasons after being frozen out of the team even though he can't play for anybody else until next season anyway might make it look like Brownie's naughty step is back? (although when we played them I thought they looked reasonable except for the left side, Billy Jones comical performance at left back and Clarke on left wing so he might just be being frozen out on account of being ****e):

Now I know Cooper did the same thing at Carlisle, but he did that to come back and try to force his way into our Championship squad for next season. In the last 12 months Clarke has been released by a relegated Championship club and has then been found wanting at a Championship club that's looking likely to be a PL club next season.He's not likely to force his way into the plans now is he?
Leon Clarke's loan move to Preston just didn't work out, there's little point in him living in a hotel in Preston when he's not making the team, so he went home, I don't really think there's any more to it than that.
my opinion of him is very unlikely to ever change, the guy is a ****ing legend who was harshly portrayed by the media and more ludicrously by a portion of his own fans
