I have seen him on highlghts, not live as you have, but, like CANADATIGER, i think he is slow down to the ball, unlike Jak. I think that is critical in the PL, a quality above what he has done. But it is all early days and I will be more than happy to be wrong. I accept his distribution is better, but I would rather keep the ball out of the net. If Marshall is played, which I think he will be, then I think Jak will move. Probably always the plan.
That's what I'm worried about Fez. Jak was outstandIng in his starts. Marshall good at Stoke...not good at Liverpool. If Marshall keeps his place against Chelsea I'm afraid Jak's attitude will be..."Well **** it..what else do I have to do. I'm out of here". He's been amazingly loyal for three years...even when McG was making mistakes virtually every week after his injury and Bruce kept picking him when he was not 100% and we got relegated. I don't think Jak will bite his tongue again. And that would be a big mistake on Phelan's part.
