So Boullier can publicly bash Heidfeld for basically not being Kubica, but the drivers can't say anything negative about the team? Renault under Boullier is a joke; the man is not fit to be Team Principal (what sort of dick would blame Heidfeld for the fire in Hungary?) At least Briatore before him could run the team properly.

I'm glad that Petrov has said this, although it probably came at the worst time possible. I hope he doesn't get punished for this because it needed to be said. In a way, this shows that Heidfeld is the ultimate professional. Even after all the crap he took from Boullier including the sacking, he never criticised the team publicly.

Well said Forza, Boullier has done a very poor job at Renault imo.

Absolute joke
He's 100% right
Renault now are struggling to keep above the 3 new teams
Boullier is an absolute clown.

Although I might choose different words, Forza; essentially, I agree with you about this man Boullier.

I certainly wouldn't want the likes of him running my team and have felt like this for a lot longer than just this season!

It's not like Renault have a history of sporting managers whose example he can follow.......

I see a renault line up of Senna and Grosjean coming. Poor Vitaly, has the gumption to speak his mind, and Renault can't face the truth.

for his own good he should probably have kept mum, but maybe he sensed his place was already in danger and needed other teams to not judge him on the performance in the latter half of the season. Otherwise I don't see why he would jeopardize his place like that

and according to Portuguese motorsport, Barichello is in the picture as a first choice at Renault

Yes. I agree.
If, due to circumstances beyond your control, one perceives oneself as likely to go down anyway, one may as well take any last opportunity for a big breath of fresh air! Sometimes it takes courage to jump before being pushed…

<doh> He's too old and slow now. He needs to retire gracefully. Based on his comparison with Maldonado. Grosjean would trash him and he would be sacked in mid season.

Another (worse) Heidfeld.

Petrov probably should not of not said anything unless he knows he is not going to be driving for Renault next season, which it looks like. However you can't argue with anything he says; the Renault's pace has gone backwards ever since the start of midseason, and some of the strategies they do are baffling. Boullier is incompetent and should be fired if Renault want to go forwards.

Either Petrov wants Senna to take his drive next year or the boss has sacked him for no reason what so ever like Nick. Boullier is the real problem in this team who were beaten by a lotus in Singapore, he shoulve got the chop for that alone.

The other side of the coin, which no oe seems to mention, is that Renault have had a lot of financial problems this season, and it's hard to upgrade a car cheaply. The Heidfeld/Senna switch could simply have been for the sponsorship money, becaus eif it was driver oriented then Petrov should've been the one dropped IMO.
