Two big chances. Cornell spills Chair's shot but keeps Dykes' rebound out and Austin fires the loose ball wide.
CLOSE! Peterborough 0-0 QPR Peterborough have been more than holding their own but are fortunate to still be level. Ilias Chair's shot is spilled by David Cornell but the home keeper does well to keep Lyndon Dykes' rebound out, with Charlie Austin then blasting wide. QPR should've put one of those away.
At the moment, Warburton seems to be like the plummer who repairs a pipe leak, and then another leak pops open on another pipe, and another after that, etc. He changes the formation or line-up, then that creates another issue elsewhere on the field. My gripe in our last game was that we were lacking a player who could drag the game across to Adomah. He brought on Amos, who started doing that. So now, Warburton thinks we need to be more attacking. Ok, he sticks another striker on and gets the attacking players to push forward. But now, our formation is basically 7-3, with a massive gap in between. For example, every time Adomah gets the ball on the right, he's got no attacker near him to pass to. No support. He's got 2 or 3 Posh players in front of him so goes sideways or backwards. Do you need 2 strikers when we're incapable of getting the ball to them?
That was a penalty. I know that panalties are not usually given when you've taken a chance/attempt on goal. But the ball was still live and Dykes was on the floor and unavailable for a pass in the box because he'd basically been taken out.
