After this performance I think Sunderland will fancy their chances. I hate to say it but we're deluding ourselves if we think we're anywhere near promotion contenders, our defence is Swiss cheese material and if the goals are drying up we're mid table at best. Expectations have vastly exceeded performances in the last 8 games...

It is all about managing “expectations”.

After our finish to last season, our signings and our pre-season results, our expectations were probably hugely inflated.

Currently we are possibly overly pessimistic.

I do not think that we are at the level of automatic promotion, but I still think that the play offs are possibly an ambitious but realistic goal.

However, to achieve this we need consistency.

Let’s stay positive! :)

I was totally level with this , cross came in and the defender wad the wrong side of Chair and blatantly shoved him over ref was 5yds away total joke

Didn’t have a good view of it but the McCallum one in the first half looked a good shout too.

When the team is **** I think our memories of the officials’ performance are harsher but a few times when we were already struggling to play with any sort of tempo he’d bring the play back for a free kick in a neutral area to be taken from the exact blade of grass he demanded or give a questionable decision to the defending team which killed the game for another minute.

Would like to see both teams’ disallowed offside goals. Theirs particularly looked fine.

Only just seen highlights.
Dykes and Austin should have scored after keeper spills.
Their first - lucky deflection.
Their second. Good goal but Dunne too slow and Dieng got something to it. On another day, it goes wide.
It's just typical QPR. Play so well against the likes of WBA and then lose to relegation fodder. Onwards.

Highlights don’t cover their disallowed goal but that’s piss poor from Austin to allow himself to be off for ours. Offered very, very little apart from missing an open goal and costing us with the offside. Not that Dykes was much better.

Well said, mate.

Throw in some decent wins along the way and a mid table finish and l think we've achieved as much as we can.
The difference between us and those leading the division is larger than we may admit.
We have one or two decent strikers but are constantly let down by our defence.
We really should not be losing to teams like Peterborough , let alone getting smacked by them.

Its all fine and good to bring up our juniors and alike but l tend to think our owners spend little overall on trying to get back to the PL.
I really do think their club ownership is treated more of a play-thing then any serious attempt to advance us.
The proposed training facility is a perfect example of them creating as much waffle as they can and dragging things out then making anything happen sooner rather than later.

Maybe l'm wrong & cynical in how l see things but normally, if you want something to happen and have the coin & clout to do so, things can and do happen a tad quicker, you would think.

Anyway, just my two bobs worth.

Losing to Posh, bad? Not good, but then we lost 4-0 at Scunthorpe when we last won this League if memory serves. Bournemouth currently 6 points clear at the top of the Championship, only managed a 0-0 at Posh, and we weren't exactly smacked yesterday. Don't think Posh are any walkover at home anyway, but this League rarely has any team the top teams are guaranteed to beat. It was a disappointing result yesterday and we should have had at least a point, but with Field and Wallace due back within 2 weeks, Albert having now played nearly 2 full games with excellent performances at RWB, and players such as Willock only on the Bench, I don't see any reason to be too down. 7th with the same points as 5th ain't a catastrophe.

Read somewhere theirs was disallowed for pushing by their striker with the E.European name. The QPR+ guys said Offside. I had no idea!

But a decent finish. In 5th if the progression in end of season position is maintained. Then Champions next season if we don't win the play-offs this.
I think if we don’t go up this season the quality players in our team will all be off.

Yes, some may. But then we should get good money for them to build again. We improved position wise in the League 4 places up, after selling Eze.

if you freeze frame their winner (yes I am sad), Dembele is offside. I am 90% sure. Irrelevant as not given as offside.
Win some you lose some. Why can't we draw some?

Yep agree, recorded the match this afternoon as they show 15min of each EFL championship match & yes he was offside only just but if it went to var it would have disallowed
