Do you think its worth it though??? We are in desperate need for full backs and are running out of time! We probably wont get one better than him! If you are right, its a big gamble as we are putting ourselves in prime position to be gazumped! To save a few million? Risky strategy! I would like to have seen us still pay full whack despite our doubts over his fitness! Then again, its not my money!

I'm absolutely with you on this mate, but if terms have been agreed with the player then we are pulling the strings, legally binding i think, where's joeisonfire when you need him?
Surely we should offer half the money now and half when he plays 30-40 games, that way if his injury doesn't play up, they'll get what they want.
They should have declared the injury, they clearly didn't so screw getting the full transfer fee in one whack.

just a guess but I would not be surprised if it is Sochaux's Sebastian Corchia. He is a highly rated footballer who was on the verge of a move to Lyon but for whatever reason it looks like the deal has fallen through.
Fits the bill and holds dual nationality, I rekon you can all guess which Nation it is.... Italy
Glad to see we have more than one player lined up, maybe we will go back for Peruzzi in a month or Jan or next summer but for the time being the club are focusing in a new number 1 RB rather than sitting doing nothing.

Heard aswell Peruzzi will stay at Velez until December, at which time another assessment will be made. I personally hope we get Peruzzi, and another RB as we need competition in these positions.
