We've had a bad day at the office, that's all.

All teams have them and oh.... We are in Europe.

People will try to take the piss, let them and just smile as it's rare any comes our way these days..... a comment few will have envisaged being written at the beginning of the season.

Oh.... and did I mention Europe? :)

We will lose our remaining games and then sell all our best players in the summer but it's been fun.

One bad result today, doesn't take away all the good that Newcastle have done this season. I hope you finish 4th (behind Arsenal in 3rd :) )

Ive been saying it quietly for the past few weeks that this game would see us come unstuck. Wigan have been flying.

The score was harsh IMO we deserved a couple in the second half and their 4th goal was just one of those that you can do nothing about.
Our tactics were awful in the first half there was so much space for Wigan it was embarrassing. 3-5-2 has never worked for us so please Pards stop it.

Let's move on and focus on the next MASSIVE game, and try not to be too negative (MrTiote *cough*).

Let the haterz have their moment, we will see who's laughing when we end up sneaking into Europe

Just let it all out mate! were **** and weve been found out. This summer we will sell Ben Arfa, Tiote, Cabaye, Ba and Krul.

The important thing is that nobody ****s their pants. Whilst I would hasten to say Wigan weren't lucky it's rare that a team will create 4 chances and take all 4. Wigan had a fantastic day in the office and we were off. After 6 on the bounce it's to be expected. Hopefully QPR and BBurn can show some fight tomorrow. We still have a great chance versus Chelsea in midweek as long as Pards can pick the players back up. I was pleased with the fight we showed in the second half.

Terrible day at the office tbf. Hopefully some good will come of this and our players will learn how to channel confidence. Some of them looked like they thought they could win by simply turning up. Also we need to learn to sort our attitude out when we go behind early on - we have shipped way too many goals after going behind early in games.

In the end Wigan were just better than us. They played well, we played **** so the fact that we lost 4-0 wasn't a big mystery. On the plus side even when we were playing gash Cisse still carved out chances for himself and looked lethal (obv not quite as lethal hitting the woodwork twice and forcing a decent save out of Al Habsi) and Ben Arfa looked threatening in the second half if only he'd have pulled the trigger a couple of times.

In short just have to hold my hands up and say well done to Wigan really. Take it on the chin and move on, some big games coming up, let's learn from it - we can still push for that CL place and if not we've still got Euro nights to look forward to! :)

We all knew Wigan wouldn't be a pushover, well done to them for their win, but time for us to move on now.
We've two massive games ahead of us, Chelsea and City still have a lot to play for, they won't make it easy for us, we need to make sure our end of season doesn't just fizzle out.
Let's hope our last home game is one of our best, it'll be a full house and we can make a difference. <ok>

Wigan away, one of our worst stomping grounds. Wasn't expecting a hammering like but knew we would have it tough there. The fact we are even up there scrapping for 4th is pleasing for me. I'm just happy we are in Europe. If we miss out on CL then so be it. You can't run before you can walk. We know we have a team capable of competing now, just have to hope we can push on through the summer and show it's no fluke.

On this evidence, the boys have their minds on the beach already. There was only one team that wanted to win and it wasn't Newcastle. You could see that from the first minute.

I've been saying the Wigan and Everton games will be the hardest, we're expected to get a result. I still fancy our chances against Chelski, their fixtures and injuries are piling up.

It's also been the media piling it on and playing up the CL spot not some much us the supporters before the D word starts flying around, it's mathematically in reach and with the form of the other teams it's possible but we need to pull out all the stops in the last 3 games.

We've said for weeks if we got Europe it would be fantastic, we have that in the Europa league which is more than some teams can say. If we got CL it would be amazing but not the end of the world if we miss out.

A lot of fans thought Wigan was going to be a walk over.Just watched GOS and looks as if they deserved their win.We seemed unlucky in the second half.
We move onto Chelsea game and as been said we are in Europe and had a great season.

Common sense ACS, we just had a poor day. I'm sure Pards and his staff will take their medicine and come back swinging.
