Ah the good old Newcastle lose blame Perez thread!

Missed two good chances but then what about our main man Mr Rondon? No chances? No fluffs? The guy who people were arse licking after 2 goals in one match?
Kenedy once again missing.
Ritchie as per usual was all huff and bluster
Diame - bang below par as well
Ki - not as good as the previous few games.

So we are blaming the link between the striker and midfield when both were and are ****e? Great!

Ps - yes Perez has stagnated and is no longer potential but more of an enigma but he does far more most of the time than anyone else is the opposition half.

But then again a lot of our fans are now slating Shelvey (I said this a long time ago and was slated as he was the saviour at that time) as Ki played well for a few games. People are now slating Lascelles because he is injured and prior to this game we won 3 games so it must have been Lascelles who was the **** link. Oh and he is a **** captain <doh>

Perez is a good bottom half of the PL player. Oh hang on a second and we are a bottom half of the PL club.

I'm sure there's androminam in you somewhere

Atsu and Murphy and that's just our current squad
Can’t agree. Neither are in the class of average for holding onto the ball but neither are they in the class of Perez. As a guide count the number of times you see Perez on the floor during a match and that’s usually your starting off number for the times he has lost the ball.

He is around that quality... but as an impact player who would come on to try and nab a goal, not a starting AM.
I mean, he brings very little in terms of assists, even in the championship.
Gross provided 8 assists last season and Perez has provided 8 assists in 3 and a bit years.

Let's face it, he's a poacher who contributes nothing other than ghosting into a game (sometime a season) from nowhere and scoring a couple, before disappearing again. He should not be in a starting line up linking-up play.

Solano was as lightweight as Perez when he arrived. He spent 12-18 months achieving jack **** and eating turf. He eventually sorted it out though. Perez could too if he'd just learn to release the ball at the right time. Silvio Maric would run him close for falling over. Aside from him I can't remember as big a pussy as Perez.

Marcelino?

I'd like to point out that I didn't slate the guy....

Truth is that he blows hot and cold. It's his inconsistency that means we'll keep him. He did the same last season too, was below par far ages and then had a very good 2-3 months later in the season. For me he is good enough for our first team and if he was consistent would be good enough for a club aiming higher. That's a big if though.
