I don't get hung up on oil money conversation but there surely has to be a hallow feeling if this is how success is earned. Just throw money that you will never earn at it and celebrate the victory. It's all incredible.
I think he is talking about City. Are you assuming we would be losing De Gea?
See your point, but then I suppose that if you're offered the top jobs, you'll take them. I mean, did any of the other clubs enquire about him?
Klopp is just treading water until a big club come for him, we both know that
So the rumour now is that every Barca player is now going to City. Really?

In my world, any footballer from a top club would be a moron to go to City in what would obviously be for money. You can't exactly come out and say "I've always loved City. This is a dream come true". No disrespect, of course.
Yeah thats gonna happen all summer.
Neymar to City
Messi to City
FFS Pep was announced 24 hours ago, hasn't even taken charge yet, and already Messi rumours have started
Messi would cost literally £130m
Even if Barca did decide to sell him, if they got anything less than £100m then it would be rape.

It could also be to win trophies..seeing as they are beginning to get in the habit of doing that on a regular basis.
If players picked a club based on history Liverpool would still be signing the worlds best.
Yeah people need to wake up and realise that footballers aren't fans.
This is their job.
They will go wherever they can attract the best pay, win the most trophies, get the best sponsorship deals etc.
You honestly think Zabu Magambu from Ghana cares that City hadn't won as many trophies as United? (That player is made up by the way)
Or that they didn't win 5 European trophies 10 years before he was born like Liverpool did?
Not really based on history. It's based on prestige and global recognition. If I "were" a player, I sure as hell would not pick another club in England to ply my trade if I get the option of Man United. Bigger stage, bigger expectation, bigger reward.
Plus if winning trophy is all you care about, why would you leave Barca for City?
Its good for our game to have the best of the best here whatever club brings them.........In my world, any footballer from a top club would be a moron to go to City in what would obviously be for money. Not really based on history alone. It's based on prestige and global recognition. If I "were" a player, I sure as hell would not pick another club in England to ply my trade if I get the option of Man United. Bigger stage, bigger expectation, bigger reward.
Look at Depay; even though he has actually been shyte for us this season, his profile in shirt sales globally went up a notched. When he eventually come good, the recognition is bigger than at any other place.
Plus if winning trophy is all you care about, why would you leave Barca for City?
Champions League every season? Since when did that become a guarantee? Chelsea, United, Liverpool.. Surely City would not be immune to missing out on Champions League.Exactly. Emmanuel from Ivory Coast doesn't give as hit United won the treble in 99 whilst City were in Division 1 or 2.
He
Right so your names Emmanuel from Ivory Coast and you get this choice:
Champions League every season, fighting for the league every season (winning it potentially 2 out of the last 3 years), 250k per week and a club with what looks like a great structure playing under Guardiola.
or..
A club looking to get back into the top 4 (potentially missing out on 2 out of the last 3 years), 250k per week at a club in a bit of a ****ing mess to be honest under a manager whos recognised as a bit of a dinosaur with a **** 'philosophy' but have had a dominant period for the majority of the last 20 years.
I'd pick City. Sorry but thats the way it is these days. Suggest you all come to terms with it.
True. As Uniteds LVG is finding outOverall, Pep has not won the league yet. He has to prove himself here first. As saw with Jose, we know this league ain't German or Spanish league. It's a cold world in the EPL.
So you saw Chelsea competing for relegation six months ago? It's absurd to suggest positions are guaranteed. Why go to United and risk competing for 5th place when you can go to City and win titles and Champions leagues?
I aint trolling, am just telling you the truth.
So you saw Chelsea competing for relegation six months ago? It's absurd to suggest positions are guaranteed.
They aren't but why risk it?So you saw Chelsea competing for relegation six months ago? It's absurd to suggest positions are guaranteed.
That is highly dependent on who we get as a manager for next season. I won't be counting the chickens before the eggs hatched.I'll bet you a player who signs for City this summer will win more trophies and earn more over the next 5 years than anyone who signs for United. (Of the same squad status to warrant top wages at respective clubs)
