You left an it out, it should be Kick off, throw it in (have a little scrimmage).

My name isn't as straight forward as it looks, I'm a season ticket holder in the Snakepit so that bit is easy but Harry is a nickname I've had since I was about 10 years old, there are now more people who call me Harry than by my proper name of Mark.

No 'it' in the original lyric harry <ok>

Mines pretty obvious, I was jeremygosslegend in the old 606.

The younger posters might have never seen him play, but he was the volley master, and scored some cracking goals, not just the important one against Bayern Munich. Have meet him a few times, and he is genuinely a really nice bloke.

Obvious one really -lived in China for a while, hence the name. Can't be bothered to change it to reflect where I live now.

1974 I had a summer job at the CWS factory in Lowestoft as a fork truck driver unloading pea lorries.Starting at 6pm I didn't have much work before ten and watched all the World Cup games in the rest room.Holland were simply magic so I chose the name of one of the players.Could have been Rensenbrink of course.

Cause I sit in the Jarrold , why is it spelt wrong ? Cause on the old 606 someone had already got the name but did not use it so being of little imagination I just dropped the r , I then went to 12 Yards before not606 so added the word still

I'm a bit of a language buff, so had to look Vectis up. 2 Theories: 1) Vectis is Latin for a level or crowbar, and could relate to the IOW looking like a lever between the 2 arms of the Solent. 2) My favourite: which is that it derives from an Old Germanic/Old English word for a little girl or little companion. The word was adopted and Latinised by the Romans, and ,as what often happens, it got assimiiated into a word, Vectis, recognised by the Romans, which seemed also to make some sense.

Thanks gg, always nice to know a little bit of the history of where one lives.

Was hoping you had been doing Cruyff Turns with a forklift and a large box of peas, tbh.

I was initially called 'hucks is coming home' on the old 606, as I thought he would return from San Jose to play for us. When he retired, I thought I better adapt my username. And so started my age long campaign for Hucks to be our manager. Hope you appreciate it, DHCanary. <ok>

Definitely. One day maybe. Although I haven't started my coaching badges yet, so it might be some time.
