To be honest it is a bit of a conundrum.
It's true that we, as a club (whether the credit for it should go to Nigel, Walshy, the owners, a combination, whatever) have recruited some good young talent and, in that respect, the future, with their development / improvement should bode well
Now, if the good and bad run had been reversed we would now be looking towards next season with justifiable optimism - but, and let's be honeat - the manager would have been sacked for an earlier run of 1 win in 15 games.
As it transpired we are now faced with a degree of uncertainty - should Pearson have brought in (recalled) more experienced players to break out of that run? ... if not should he nevertheless have been able to 'manage' the team out of that run? - could it happen again? ... we have differing opinions on all of these - all valid in that we believe our respective 'gut feel' as far as it goes.
Whatever the Club statement says - all we can do is accept it and look to next season - end of.
