ahhhhh the Royal "We" I presume by that you mean your dog eating owners? What happens when they get bored and pull out n your little non-profit making football club have to pay 45K a week wages for the likes of Beckford? Or when the police conduct a proper investigation find that the owners unlawfully gained there money? That means a slippery slope for Leicester Again
Try not to act bitter, it doesn't look good You mean that random figure that you've just pulled out of your arse? Like the one the Football League did?
When have we ever gone into a 'slippery slope because of faulty owners? You do make me laugh
When have we ever gone into a 'slippery slope because of faulty owners? You do make me laugh
What took you into administration last time? Quality owners??
No we needed to build a stadium. In the long run building the stadium was a good idea. Just bad timing.
The only thing the owners had to answer for was allowing Peter Taylor so much money and wasting it on crap like Dennis Wise, Ade Akinbiyi, Lee Marshall, Junior Lewis, Trevor Benjamin. The list goes on It wasnt their fault we got relegated and itv digital went bankrupt. We needed a new stadium to help the club grow. If Leeds returned to their glory days they would have to look at their stadium. Either expand Elland road if its possible or build a new ground
yes i agree, i was just being a dick. Elland road was due to be expanded to 55,000 if we won the world cup which woulda been great. I think in the future it may need to be expanded. Im not sure whats happening with bates' hotel and all that crap stuff (I try to ignore that stuff) because a lot of talk was going on a while ago about building a new stadium in the future on the ground next to the current stadium. I'd sooner we expanded elland road though
I think if we properly hit the big time again fairly soon we'll stick with the World Cup plan, which I think was to add an extra tier to the North Stand and bring it round to meet the East, and completely rebuild the West Stand.
yea i wouldn't see why that would be a bad plan but may ruin our hopes of spending decent amounts of money on players at least for a while which may enforce the bates' out chants even more.
I think we'd need to cement a place in the PL first. I think we need to look at Newcastle as a role model, the situation they're in now would be roughly when I'd think about redeveloping/extending ER.
To be fair, Elland Road shouldn't be expanded unless we really do have a lot of spare cash after a few years' success. We'd only fill it for a few games a season (if that) if we kept charging insane prices. West Stand should probably be the priority. Don't want to see the Kop get mangled into two tiers which would Stretfordize it and make the atmosphere even worse.
yea, that is a good point about the Kop. West stand should be the priority but i also agree with Simon, We shouldn't even consider doing anything until we are in a position similar to newcastle's. The way they have gone about things is pretty good. Leeds-18, if you think ticket price's now are insane, wait until we get inot the PL....
I guess we can at least seek advice on how to cope from one of the clubs that have ridden the Ridsdale Roller Coaster ...
