Deluded,so you had a mid table side, spent 12 million on these brilliant players on prem wages.
and you've got (a mid table side on wages that as soon as your owners get bored, will send you straight back into admin and maybe league 1.)<laugh>

The thing is, the owners won't.

    Which is why you're here.

    Jealousy, nothing else.

the fact we can spend another 12m in January with a manager that knows this league is frightening <laugh>

Happy days. If we don't go up this year then theres always the next and the next and the next.

your going nowhere and you know it,jan will be too late and the only thing Pearson knows is how to run a mid table side.

Trouble is Pearson hasn't got a lot to work with, an average bunch at best & £12m is nowhere near enough to turn you into a good side. There's a lot of dross to be cleared out first, followed by a transitional period of about six months. By the start of next season he may have the squad he wants to work with, which will possibly include only two or three players currently on your books.
Mediocre players like Nugent will have been moved on by then.

How can you say mediocre players like Nugent when you have Any Keogh playing up front is beyond me.

I agree that this season promotion is more and more unlikely, but as we will have next season, the season after and the season after to get promoted its hardly an issue.

Pearson will be backed in january and he will be able to bring in who he likes.

If we don't go up this season then I think that we'll storm the league next year.

But we've also got Luciano Becchio and Ross McCormack. Keogh is a support striker, he was playing AM yesterday, who is our 3rd choice overall (while Somma is injured). And to be able to bring in anyone you want they would actually have to want to go to you, do you honestly think you could get any first team players from any of the sides currently in the top 6? You could probably have your pick of the best players from the average sides, which is what you did in the summer.

I posted this a few months ago on the Leicester board when they were expecting big things from Beckford....

Its all meant tongue in cheek but I would say they are at stage 7 (hire ex manager).

I expect stage 8 shortly and stage 9 panic showing signs... i.e. "there is always next year"

    -----

As Leicester are so keen on emulating Leeds,

Just remember this order and it will make the next 2 years less painfull:

1st. Sell cheap (Done - ps. thanks for Gradel),
    2nd. Build Debts (Done),
    3rd. Buy Big (Done),
4th. Fail to deliver (In Progress),
    5th. Panic (Due Xmas 2011),
6th. Sack Manager & pay him off (Early 2012),
7th. Hire Ex England Manager (Done once repeat if required),
8th. Sell cheap again (Summer 2012),
9th. Panic as debts too high (Winter 2012),
    10th. Buyout (Summer 2013),
    11th. Administration (Winter 2013),
12th. Find a fall guy - Goldfish are always useful!!!
    13th. Relegation (Summer 2014).
14th. Raise from the flames, wiser and able to see next club making same mistakes.
15th. Post ironic message on their website - You will find it funny - but they won't realise your right....

Becchio has been ****e all season and McCormack is good one game shocking the next.

Beckford is getting there and Nugent has been first class this season.

Becchio's been below his high standards most of the season, which translate to mediocre/average overall. McCormack's a big confidence player and tends to have a good run of games then a poor run. Still a very good Championship striker overall. You're unlikely to find much consistency from any striker of the McCormack/Beckford/Lambert variety.

I'd say Becchio/McCormack/Keogh is a better selection than what you have. Maybe not on paper, but when you factor in their partnerships and industrious/never-say-die attitude, you see the true value of why our attack works so effectively.

Becchio was injured at the start of the season and then had the second highest scorer in the league (McCormack) to get ahead of. His form's picked up considerably since he has actually been starting games.

a below par, injured becchio still has more goals than beckford, and mccormack has outscored nugent, AND you have a £5mil CB who i wouldnt swap for tom lees, sums it up about right

As i have done so many times this season, when i combine the two squads, i pick about 2-3 players from leicester in my starting 11. Hence the reason we are ahead of you in the league i suppose

That he has had one decent streak of scoring but has never otherwise shown me any glimmer of talent?

Bamba had him in his pocket all game.

You can have as many expensive individuals as you want in your side but it means feck all if you can't get them to gel.

Look at Middlesbro last season. They spent millions and finished in the bottom half.

One thing you can't accuse Leeds of is buying their way out of this league.

Just because we don't have a side full of names, doesn't mean the players aren't any good. I personally prefer fans of other teams to think their players are better. The more we are underestimated the better.
