90% was a guess from the Adam Pearson quote I posted earlier. He said we wouldn't subsidise someone's wage "to any great extent". I'd guess that if QPR offered to pay him £40,000 a week, we'd take that.

DJBlackandamberarmy(No4), that does make me a little excited but memories of JB in a City shirt can dampen that. I was at West Ham that night!

In fairness to JB, he's never had a proper pre-season with us. Who knows what might happen? I'm not going to pre-judge the guy. If he's in a City shirt, I'll judge him after the games, same as everyone else.

Humberside and Burnsey take some criticism from City fans but credit where it's due, that was a cracking interview.

This is the attitude Mr. Pearson should have taken this time last year.

Better late than never I guess, I think everybody's calmed down a bit now and this interview has made me feel more positive about the season ahead.

Well, he's taken the attitude and approach I've been saying he should take for a while now, so I can't really criticise him for it can I?

Though I imagine those who wanted Bullard to rot in the reserves will be fairly annoyed at this story.

CumbrianTiger is now excited for the new season. I believe that with Bullard playing an active part in our squad we have a group of lads which are capable of achieving a top half finish. You may think I am pessimistic but look at the strength of the league this year, its going to be very close. Bullard is the type of player to create something from nothing, yes he won’t tackle as much as Cory Evans for example but my god does he has more skill to rip up a championship defence. If he and the back room are now happy to work alongside each other then the KC may not be as boring as last year to watch football.

Tend to agree OLM. Yes the compo would have to be paid as Ayala is not yet 21. Liverpool said that they need one more first choice centre back before anyone else leaves. So with Stoke signing Woodgate yesterday i would not be surprised if Ryan Shawcross moved to Liverpool. Gary Cahill(Bolton) or maybe Chris Samba(Blackburn) as outsiders.
With Ayala not on Liverpools Asia squad list his days look numbered. So it looks like Ayala will one of the loans comin in.

Adam P. said last night that Kilbane will move somewhere and the club hope to do the same with Ghilas. With the Brighton(who have some money) and McShane rumours down south that could still happen. Its a bit like a putting a jigsaw together. Once you get the small peices in place the big ones slot in easily. No panic. Its still only July.

WHY ? Maybe he did and was told not to mention anything. I always tend to think that NO NEWS IS GOOD NEWS.

I think it's fairly obvious that the change in approach with regard to Jimmy is being driven by the Allam's refusal to contribute substantially towards wages playing for another team, though I think everyone is still counting there chickens a little too early. There's obviously now an increased chance of Jimmy still being with us next season, but if DQPR up their wage contribution, he might still be on his way.

From AP's comments, it's fairly obvious that we are still trying to ship out Oli, Ghilas and Killer and I suspect the wage contribution issue will be ignored for Killer, as a thank you for what he did for the club last season. It sounds like McShane will be staying as cover for right back and centre back, though I do still expect another centre back to come in.

Well how about James Harper as an emergency full back ? I feel he could do a job there if City were desperate. Worth trying him there against Ferriby and Winterton. Midfield looks to be a No No for Harps at the moment.

I wonder how much of the new Jimmy-love is just playing games with QPR? If AP comes out and says we don't want Jimmy and puts him on the naughty step, QPR aren't going to pay for him because they'll know we're down a hole. If we play the game, involve Jimmy and insist we're going to use him, they will have to pay up or shut up.

If Bullard is now in the plans, could the Koren transfer saga re-ignite?
