I’ve become far less emotionally involved. Results no longer affect me like they used to. Defeats are expected and anything better is a nice surprise. I’ll never stop caring as I always watch and take an active interest. My financial contribution to the club has certainly nose dived however.

I'm going to stop being a consumer of football
Stopped caring about football in general a while ago. My wife's trying to get me into yoga!! Can't be any worse than supporting this ****e! Might give it a go. Sort my Karma out and stuff. Learn to forgive and forget..<laugh>

Whether my team is doing terribly or doing well football has still lost it. Its just not as fun when you win and its just not as devastating when you lose. Its for the best though, it doesnt deserve as much of our thought, time and effort anymore.

Great post. Football has overstated it's importance for too long. It's so far detached from the average working man or woman that I find it increasingly difficult to take it seriously anymore. It's just not that important.

Couldn't agree more **** football

It's time everyone stopped behaving like loyal husbands that have discovered their wife's a transsexual and stop fooling themselves

How does Perez get a game. His tackling is terrible. Tracking back is terrible. Leaving yedlin on his own all last night. Control and passing is terrible. Shooting and decision making is terrible

I can only assume he is Rafa's secret love child. Good for a couple of games per season at most.

What game were you watching? Perez tracking back was in a flat 4 with the rest of the midfield, doubled up with Yedlin constantly! His average position was a RWB's

Won 5 tackles as well, compared to the defenders: Yedlin 2, Schar 3, Lascelles 1, Dummett 2, Ritchie 1 (more than anyone else in the team bar Hayden's 7).

His passing was woeful though I'll give you that one.

Past caring, not quite, but with every passing season it’s getting harder to care.
It’s like watching something you love die a slow death. You cannot stand the thought of losing them, but are also subconsciously preparing to welcome the end.
There have been so many programs on over the festive period showing classic NUFC games, fantastic times that make you proud,
It’s hard to acknowledge how far we have fallen.

I haven't paid for a ticket for a few years now, and won't do till Ashley leaves.

I even avoided watching last night's game on Sky despite having a subscription - the game has lost its sparkle.

I'm bracing myself for a few years of the pain that only football can bring - he won't leave if we're making money.

I’ve had a ST for something like 9-10 years now and holidays and work commitments have meant that i’ve Missed 4 games already. This will be the same next season so am honestly thinking about cancelling and then going on a match by match basis (when I’m available).

My mate has 4 tickets and normally has to sell his.

I lost some interest but it still frustrates me watching the **** we put up with. I want rid of ashley so bad. It used to make the weeks palletable but now I dread watching the turgid performances but I cannot help it cause it’s a love affair.
