There is a school of experienced Managers who believe that you build up from the back.

I'm sure all Managers, including ours, whoever is occupying the chair this month, would like an open cheque book an be allowed to bring in whoever they wanted,
BUT, thats a fantasy game.
Our Manager can only play the cards he's been given.

Some will remember an angry Kevin Keagan saying that he'd rather his side won 5-4 than 1-0.
And so would us fans.
BUT
We would prefer, (or most of us would) to win 1 - 0 than to lose 4 - 5.

It's VERY early in the Season.
Only four games played.
But we have only coceded ONE goal.
We are in FOURTH place.
We are unbeaten.

And from PLANET ZOD comes the call to sack the Manager.

Calling for the manager's head, at this point, can't be anything but attention seeking.

He obviously won't be sacked and doesn't deserve to be as things stand.

There's a generation of Italian managers who were recognised throughout the world as the most tactically proficient in their field by building from the back. I'm not suggesting Parkinson is at that level, and to be honest I'm not even a big fan, but it's a valid school of thought that winning can be achieved more easily by conceding less, than by scoring more.

It's too soon to write off Graham and O'Brien as well obviously. Our attack will get better as the season goes on. The fact that our defence has started so impressively is very encouraging and Parkinson deserves kudos for that.

The only priority this season is promotion. Good performances would be nice, but I'll settle for a turgid season of football and finishing with 92 points.

You will be relieved to know you are going to get your wish <laugh>

Maybe, but you still haven't explained how that's Parky's fault? It was almost certainly impossible to offload Wyke and Grigg as we are overpaying both of them and with Covid nobody in this league can afford to take them off our hands. Evidently, we were strapped for cash as we paid nothing for Graham.

So tell me, which free agent striker on low wages should Parkinson have signed to guarantee us 15+ goals?

Do you think they tried to offload Grigg and Wyke there us no indication they did.... if all else failed they could have had their contracts terminated with a lump sum? This would not probably count in the salary cap.

Bringing Graham in cos he is on a free, an old slow non-scoring striker can never make sense.

As we guess that Donald is no longer involved Oarly and co are making some inane decisions about players ins and out and team selections... its dreadful
