Hi, just wondering where people park for the KC if you're not using Walton St or the park and ride. All last season I parked just off Rawling Way but it's been made permit only now.

Anywhere near there that people can suggest, otherwise I'll have to go park and ride in future.

Hospital car park or St Stephens but both cost money of course.

You can park on the estate opposite HRI as well but only if you don't want your car back (or is that where you mean is permits now?).

I parked in Gt Thornton Street for years. Was great and if you got there early, you had only a short walk to the stadium. I can't see anywhere that is as good without a very long walk.

O/T - rant re Park & Ride . . . .
I have resigned myself to the Park & Ride and we did that on last Monday. Even though the company changed hands since I last used it, the bleedin jobsworths that make you queue make the experience a still bad one.

The queue is enough to satisfy at least the four busses that are safely waiting at Priory Park, but they only let you get in the first or 2nd one? What is that about - just let us on and let us get to stadium. Same on the way back - 4 busses in the bus stop and they only let us get on two when the queue is back to the middle of West Park.

Rant over!

Often park not far from Boothferry Park. Plenty of street parking and takes about 15/20 minutes to walk to KC.

Agree with you about the park and ride, queue for ages, why can't they have machines letting you pay before getting on the bus? Did think about parking somewhere near Boothferry Park, thanks for suggestions.

Not seen your name for a few years!!

I park at the Prinny Ave end of Marlborough ave then walk down to Pearsons for a quick pint of Timmy's before continuing past Jacksons to the pedestrian-way to the stadium.

All free and if I'm quick I get to hear Burns ask Brucey a load of dumb-ass questions afterwards.

Reading this, I wonder how many out of towners are parking in the space left by a 'local' that's driven to the stadium. <laugh>

Looking where most of those of us who have commented actually live I don't think there are any "locals" leaving spaces.

I do sometimes get home when City are away & Ferriby are at home to find lots of locals having to park away from their houses....just pleased I have a drive to park on

Coming from out of town, I park near the Priory, have fish & chips & walk from there

Walk from Priory?

Bit of a trek is that.

I used to park just off Boulevard until I had my rear windscreen smashed by some arsehole.

I bus **** now, otherwise known as park and ride.

I agree, it's not what I said as the two don't actually follow.

Some of the areas people are suggesting do tend to have limited parking on many occasions, so I'm assuming some of the residents have gone somewhere in their cars.

True, which is why there are an increasing number of permit only areas. Personally I do think that it can be slightly thoughtless when footie fans take up parking spaces which should be used by residents. As more people decide to park in residential areas further from the ground as the permit zone area grows you will probably see a 3 mile circle around the KC of resident only parking. I'd rather pay a few quid to park in Walton Street, HRI or use the Park & Ride. I always use official/designated car parks at away games also

Why all of a sudden after 12 years is there mass parking restrictions

A guess, and no more, but as the old school walk[sic] away and are replaced by Prem fans, the demographic of our support changes. Previously people would use altrenative modes of transport, but the newcomers seem to be less independent.
