I'm pretty sure we don't have a quota from Brussels on how many we have to let in.

If we took the narrow minded view on immigration then life would become worse. Engineering companies and scientists would go elsewhere where there are enough qualified graduates. The NHS would crumble from a lack of workers. Your local takeaways would shut down. Shops put prices up. Etc.

The end shot is that we'd have to spend more to attract people to ****ty minimum wage jobs, this would increase government spending. Prices would go up. A lack of professionals would **** up companies and we'd all be ****ed.

Are you completely ignorant?

Brussels decided long ago that Europe has an open door policy, anyone from Europe can work or enter this country at any time they wish, the refugees that headed to Germany will be given European travel permits, its called the Schengen agreement and the other member states are now feeling very uncomfortable with it. We have no control of our borders because Labour signed us out of it.

The reason why migrants flock to this country? Free health care and social benefits that we freely give to any Tom, Dick and Harry that turns up fancying a bit of it. Our benefits are far more generous than any other European country, but Brussels tells us we are not allowed change that policy.

One day you will start to see maybe 30 to 40% of your income being taken from your wage packet and you will change your tune, you might even get as lucky as me and get to see the dregs of society struggle to wiggle their sorry gear head arses out of bed by mid afternoon after shooting up (on benefits money) the night before. you think thats rare, think again.

Maybe if the government hadn't got rid of benefit fraud investigators, such as my friends dad, then there might be less benefit frauds. The government likes scrapping things that save us money in the long run.

Maybe if the government didn't get rid of tax credits the gap between working and lazing about would be bigger and thus people would work.

Maybe if we spent more on education people would be more highly skilled and wouldn't laze about.

And I bet most people on benefits don't vote.

Open door policy isn't a set quota, freedom of movement means people can move and not that a set number will.

I think you are deluded where benefits lie. You can't just go somewhere and scrounge of them. Health care with a ehic/e111 card is free for everyone within the EU. We should be glad that benefits are higher than a lot of places so those in need of them get the help they deserve.

At the end of the day were a multicultural society and if an immigrant can take your job then you are ****e at your job.

Quite right, you've answered your own question and don't appear to have any understanding of the consequences.

One day you may get a job and start competing against that immigrant on pay level rather than whether your ****e at your job or not.
 
Where's trumps wall so I can bang my head against it.
1. Immigration is fine if it's managed but with an open door policy to 27 other countries is madness

2. If someone is going to accept a lower wage you will employ them over someone more expensive that's business may be unethical but it's best for business

3. The benefits system is ok it needs working on to make sure the right people who need it get it one of the best things to happen for me was being unemployed I've always been socially awkward and was terrible at interviews I ended up on the back to work scheme gave me the ability to become less awkward and managed to get into work.

4. Would we lose our best doctors etc no that's bullshit the number of non EU doctors we have prove this. Also the number of Dr's abroad that are NHS trained show that we have the best training.

5. The funding for education has been ring fenced we can't spend more money than we got where is that money you want to keep spending come from.

The problem is already here.

Border controls in future may help, but meanwhile we need to flush out the Jihadist scum from our towns and cities. When found they should be executed. It's a shame they wont be....

I'd start with Cardiff, Birmingham and London in particular.

The facts are that in this now global world we are better off inside a united Europe than out of it both financially and security wise. While we have a glorious history we are totally insignificant in terms of clout on our own.

Its not a fact at all, it is, however it is a perfectly debatable argument.

Many would disagree with you, I happen to believe there could be a middle road solution that would work better. but control of our own borders is a must within any agreement and so is lawmaking within our own country, for me.

Not for 16+ which lets be honest are the most important years. Sixth form centres are closing whilst others are cutting corners which are affecting people's education.

Physics, Chemistry and engineering departments are closing due to funding shortages which are what the nation needs.

  • 90% of public expenditure per head is spent your first and last 5 years of life
  • EU workers are not born and don't die here
  • Immigration has an overall positive effect on GB
  • Refugees are a different matter and in this respect as an island we have tons more control than France for example
In terms of armed forces
  • We have 205k active personnel. In Europe France and Italy have more. Outside Europe 20 countries have more personnel
  • We have 400 tanks , Israel and Egypt have 8000, Russia has 15000
  • Glad we have got Trident , Without it we would be an easy target
 

Enoch Powell would never have let this happen, even if he was a bigot, and how well I remember the promises made when North Sea oil and gas was first discovered and the public were told that the home nationals would get their products for free and the surplus would be sold to offshore customers.

Please remind me who owns most of the British oil/gas, utility companies, other vital components of British infrastructure and just about everything else? When you sell everything worth anything to others and expect them to treat you as special you are living in a dream world and to add insult the European country club that they hoped would offer relief has given them nothing but grief. Nobody has a crystal ball to see the future but this magic device is the hand's of politicians and policy makers is a death knell for all that you believed in and held precious. Many governments are at fault when it boils down to it and don't tell me that the decision to join the elite of Europe, who incidentally have never liked the Brits, wasn't the start of the downfall of the green and pleasant land?

Closer to home don't you think it's just about time to send the scroungers packing, and I'm not necessarily talking about non- English here, because the begging and demanding for "social money" is an art form invented and patented by the locals over many years of practice. Why would the world not want to set sail for our shores when it is clearly built on the human right of getting money for doing nothing and yes we'll throw in a mobile phone and luxury accommodation for good measure? Apologies are given in advance just in case you get upset at the way you are treated in your chosen new land and don't forget the European Human Rights Court is just a subsidised trip away.

The world has gone mad yet again.

Since 2010 net migration has been around 300,00, that's a city the size of Hull each year and our infrastructure can't and never will cope with.
  • 'EU workers are not born and don't die here' - Are you clairvoyant, most are under 30 years old. They won't be going anywhere except the money and benefits they send back 'home'.
