She behavied like a spoilt brat and lost as a consequence. Anyone who argues with the officials in any sport deserves no sympathy, even if the officials have made a mistake.

How’s Paris? Marchand fever aside of course….

Agree that she could have dealt with it better. Paris is quiet, super quiet. As I've said before, I work in tourism and there aren't any here!

A beautiful late July day would usually mean upwards of 60/70 people going through the tour company I work for, today there were 25.

My kids went to the volleyball because their holiday club was given tickets as otherwise they would have had loads of empty seats.

The police are everywhere and directing people round the houses for safety reasons, so half the train station exits we normally use are no longer open. It's just all a pain.

Great Britain has had a remarkable run at the Olympics, especially the last three. Can’t see it lasting this time, much less cash been spent on these sports recently.
.
Preparing to eat my words with a large slice of humble pie here, and they will both be delicious.

Aussies still doing exceptionally well*.

*As soon as there is a comfortable gap in the medal table between us and them (with GB on top of course) I intend to snap into full patronising mode, offering hearty congratulations on performances full of spunk to get a plucky 4th place for the Aussie girl/bloke/team.

Nah, they’ve just had an extremely plucky performance in the 50m men’s freestyle (dive in, get out) to beat the Brit into silver. He was absolutely chock full of spunky defiance..

Cheeky bastards have just got another gold. Too many swimming events.

Once again I might have spoken too soon….

Jeez, Marchand is a ****ing freak ! Sickest I've ever seen, better than Phelps. Scott great swim 2nd. Brit just touched off in 50m sprint too for another silver.
