Islam is one of the fastest growing religions in the world. It is the fastest growing religion in America ffs. Texas (the state of right wing extremists like Bush) has the fastest growing rate of conversion to Islam in the whole of the U.S. What do you think, they're all being forced to convert? <laugh> <doh> Plank.

I didn't say that religion is new. I said that the idea that marriage is a religious institution is relatively new.
Evidence of marriage actually predates the first Hindu texts, but the religion was undoubtedly around before that, anyway.

There is no evidence that any religion created the concept of marriage. The claim that it's religious is baseless.

Once we can remove the most narrow minded and self defeating attitudes the debate regarding religion can continue. While these attitudes exist, and everything is assumed offensive, its impossible. Only when a person can separate religion and humanity can we have a fair, objectional discussion.

And let's just clarify, you and the other Islamic defenders came in all guns blasing. So don't go whinging when equally aggressive questions are thrown your way.

I see no Christians feeling the need to defend the indefensible, questionable and unfathomable aspects of their religion, past and present. You and unfortunately, a large number of Muslims are incapable. Instead denying all negatives without question, quoting the qaran and scholars that support their view in a fury.

So, the chronological order. What's with it? Why was it changed and what impact does it have on the abrogation?
