The OP was asking who is the sexiest, bit of a no brainer really, has to be Pardew. :D

If you want to get in to 'Football Credentials', a bit more debateable for sure, but we're more than happy with Pardew, and Sunderland seem to be happy with MON,
be interesting to see what gets posted on this thread tomorrow evening, <badger>

Bigger teams didnt snap benny up as he was a trouble maker.
Cant see him being still here next year though as he has straightened himself out and is showing he is worldclass.
If Chelsea or a Man U came knocking for Pards he would be away too- would't blame him at all.
It's the way of the jungle.
Reference O'Neill and Villa I know a lot of Villa ST holders (i work down near there) who don't see him in a good light at all. Their argument is he purposely blew Europe, spend loads of money (they are in big debt) and left a high wage bill which is affecting them badly even today (look on Villa forums.. You'll see)... His legacy at Villa park is far from a rosey one.

Each to their own and all are entitled to their opinions.

Good manager is O'Neill. He is effective regardless if you don't like his style of football. Personally I'd much rather watch a Pardew side week in week out, I can't get away with O'Neill's direct counter attack, all based around working harder than the oppo. I just don't like watching my team sitting on the back foot waiting for errors. I prefer to have see us have a go, win or lose. In terms of who is better O'Neill has a proven track record which ranks higher than Pardews achievements so far in management. So based on a long view you'd to say him. In the here and now clearly he has been out of the game since Villa but has started quite well with Sunderland. Pardew in that time has done very well, so I'd probably say he matches up well in the present. The real test for him now is backing it up.

I just think as a fan, football is more about entertainment than winning. For that reason I wouldn't swap. Since he has come in Pardew has brought both results and good carpet football to watch. He gives us what we want, players like Benni and Cabaye. He's just a good fit for the ethos of the club and fans.

At the end of this season we should all be in a position to compare a full season for both managers.
Until then, let the banter continue as its been rather quiet of late.

    Well put LTF

The thread was starting to turn into a "my lightsaber is bigger than yours" debate!

Of course, I do have the bigger lightsaber.
