ANYONE who will put Micah Richards and Oxlade Chamberlain in and isn't afraid to tell Lampard or Gerrard that there has only ever been space for ONE of them in the team.

How long do you need though? Look at what O'Neil has done at Sunderland from Day 1. If we can get a manager that can have that impact on a team then surely we'd see a good England side at the Euros?

It's not like they're particularly obscure players that he needs to get to know, or that Redknapp will be playing particularly complex tactics that the players will struggle to learn, so the amount of time needed shouldn't be that long.

id say that just a hooneymoon period tbh! happens with 9/10 new managers, dont get me wrong am sure theyl be a top 10 side when itl settles down meybs more with financial backing! i dont think england have the quality to win the euros regardless of the manager!

Yeah but what i'm saying is that we would have the honeymoon period through the euros and then we can start to think about the future

I'd go for Pearce as he's already involved with the international set up both with the U21's and coaching the senior team. The only issue is that he's involved with the Olympic team.

yeah a suppose :P we could really use that period for the group stage aswell! im sure weve got tough games if we get past the group stage aswell!? cant remember

Pretty sure he's got one of the best win ratios of any England manager. The pressure from the media wasn't his fault and neither is the fact that the players are a bunch of cretins who aren't interested in playing for England or good enough to compete with the top international teams.

It was his fault for picking those cretins though, he picked lampard too much he diddnt have joe hart in net for the world cup, he hasnt given sturridge a chance, he always played downing, the win ratio shows the strength of the players we have in england, it doesnt reflect capellos ability

Get real guys, Pardews has had a good half a season. I doubt Harry will want to leave Spurs now, they still are playing for the title and he'd be leaving them in the lurch, also which manager wants to come in right before a tournament, if it goes pear shaped he'll take all the blame. Hmm, I guess it'll stuart pearce for the time being, really. I can't see anyone else. Pearce and someone else... god knows, maybe Alan shearer and david beckham. Really, they can't put in a foreigner and there's no englishman to take the job. It's a pretty dire situation. So my money is firmly on Pearce and a team of other ex players. Tony Adams... yeah. Southgate. Someone like that to assist pearce. No way will it be pardew, and no way will pardew go to spurs, there are much bigger names for spurs to go after.

Stuart Pearce for me, give him the job on a temporary basis until after the euro's, if he does good...keep him on, if he does bad....send him back to the u21's. Alot of the younger players would of already worked with him in the u21 set up and he's been doing a decent job of it

Pearce would do for me. I think the players he's worked with, like and respect him. Hard but fair, much the same as he was as a player.
