This is why I hate the media. Yes Pards shouldn't have done it. NO it's not a headbutt. Richard Keys and Paul Merson reacted like it was what Zidane did in the WC. It's not. It's all handbags.

Let's just focus on the great performance and great win and the media circus will have died down in a few days.

Exactly same as when on the pitch. If you pushed the oppo player like Meyler did, you get a yellow. If you push your head towards Meyler as a reaction you get sent off and a 3 game ban. Pards will get the same (or more) plus a fine for the media hullabaloo.

We'd probably say exactly the same rather getting hysterical like a little girl. i.e. Bruce shouldn't have done it, and our player shouldn't have provoked him.

If you can survive this season, he may well do Disco. Where is your mass overreaction to todays events? Where is the hysteria? Far too sensible fella, nothing like your brethren who have been frothing at the mouth to whinge.
 
He has now gone up in my opinion... If only some of players had our managers passion!!!! **** me, imagine how far up the table we would be.. I know alot of us hate him, for various reasons! But u can not fault the guy for passion for our club!! Fairplay, if u r willing to headbutt a player of an opposing team to help the Toon win a game, then...... **** Me.... You are my sort of Manager!! LOL>>!!!!!!!!!!

I've nutted my fair share of people. Often for no reason whatsoever other than I didn't like their shoes so I'm not going to damn him for it.

Football does strange things to the calmest, most intelligent people. What chance does Pardew have!

Well said, mate. Meyler should have kept his hands to himself. Is there any one of us who would not react to being pushed so aggressively in the chest?

I think a few will feel a little silly to call it a headbutt once they see it. I'd hate to see their reaction to an actual headbutt. They'd be calling for the death penalty.

Definitely not a head but, however, he did put his head towards the players face. I'd say identical to Remy's sending off.
I believe he'll get a longer ban than 3 matches as he has got previous with the FA.
 
I'm sorry, if I did that to someone at work, I get sacked. And no compensation either. Pardew has absolutely no composure or class.

He really should know better, but he's clearly so thick he can't learn!
