I alway's thought Carroll coming back was a no go.
We got £35mil for him and he has been a flop at Liverpool and I think they feel we screwed them over, but Daglish was prepared to pay.
Also pleased we wont hear of him getting into trouble down the Big Market because it would happen if he had come back.

He'd have been a target for all the 'Jack the Lads' wanting to make a name for themselves.

Agree with this and its how i interpreted the interview. I think his amusement was down to the politics of Liverpool not wanting him to come to us on a cut price. Fair enough if some people took it as meaning something else but AP has never been anything but complimentary about Carroll since he left and has always wished him well and said he would love to have him back. Not the things one tends to say if they want to take the pee out of someone.
 
This board is dead? Should have a look at some of the others for Premiership teams, this board is positively roaring in comparison to most.
