You would need to know who van Gaal was prior to him joining United to understand this. There's old clips of his time at Barcelona and Ajax though, which show much ike the Pep video above, that he focuses on quick incisive passes in attack. Big van Gaal hater, Rummigee has spoken about how revolutionary van Gaals training was, for German football (go on, ask for the link <ok>) and Bayern.

There's clips from our pre season training out there. Its harder to find as its done beyond closed doors unlike in Spain.

I guess I have to apologise as I can't provide proof but it's a damn sight more that you are going to come up with. That's much is certain.

So, these manager who coach slow attacking football.... Go!

And also... Just to be clear... You're not sure what he's telling them but you're of the opinion it's clear he's telling them to attack quickly??

And going with that massive assumption (which I'm sure you'll agree is gubbins), that is also somehow proof that LVG is teaching his players to attack fast in 2015???

Ah okey doke... So that's the video you're looking at. So you've got no evidence then. Cleared up.

I'm not fluent in German and the clips in German. However its working on their attacking play and Pep bring his style. Close quarters stuff with the emphasis on keeping the ball while attacking with pace.

Remember Bayern had already had van Gaal implement a possession game so its easier to pick up from that and take it forward/add his own twist. United hadn't, we had spent the previous 5 years playing without a midfield so possession football was entirely new. This is one thing van Gaal got badly wrong he joined.

That video has plenty of evidence. You clearly didn't watch it considering the length bit there's a longer one in the related video links.

So, your side of this bargain.... Managers teaching slow attacking football. Will it be today or before Arsenal win the league again? Doesn't need to be a 50000 word assignment with graphs, charts and tables. A simple video.

If google doesn't help then try Tor. It will allow you to access the wider web. I'm thinking you might need to go back to the days of Black and White telly though.

Try British Pathe films, of the national football museum <ok>

Tick tock now Cini, tick tock.

Perhaps you're at the door just now, handing out sweets. Yeh, that's probably it. You will be posting some evidence any minute now....

This was disappointing to see in real time. Even worse when I see it again. Not going to slate our Wayne here but it does highlight his decline.

This is the big problem that I have with LVG. Insistence on Rooney. I don't even know why that Scholes felt the need to defend Rooney. Rooney is sh** right now. He needs timeout to get back to basics.

Apparently Herrera didn't have a good game. LVG will be relieved as it will give him the excuse he needs to drop him and stick Rooney in at 10 and put Martial back up front.

If he does that, and I fully expect he will, then it will confirm he's a coward.

Wow. Those legs really don't work anymore. I'm telling you, it's a lifetime of not looking after his body catching up on him. Boozing and smoking during the close season will have a long term impact.

I think it was c.1996 when SAF made the big decision to bench his record signing Andy Cole who was having a bad spell in front of goal. He put Scholes up front in his place and the little master bagged a few. Cole had time to reflect and rediscover his form. Worked a treat for both of them and the team was the big winner. Good managers aren't afraid to make big decisions.

That one poor game will cost him his place. At some point a number of players will start to get frustrated with the selection feelossofee.

That just shows how much a decline Rooney is at. Any decent player (not even necessarily a striker) should at least be reaching the ball and making an attempt on goal even if he doesn't score. Feck sake smalling could have scored that.

God, United are boring. To spend £250m and be that scared of playing an adventurous pass. Saffa must devastated that the United way has been dismantled in the space of 18 months

Mata is always a hit and miss. Class player no doubt, but a lot of times he always have a bad game especially against fast attacking teams. A luxury player that needs to be playing in the middle while our defensive midfielders help him out with the defending. Exactly what arsenal have done with ozil. We really need a right winger, its a shame we don't have one.
