Well, he's never really cemented himself in the team for any period of time and he's had many chances to show consistency. If he really was "brilliant" I doubt he'd of been in and out of the team (mostly out). Brilliant players are in short supply at Carrow Rd.
I don't think he'll be around next year and will be one of the ones Hughton will want out.
True, he hasn't had consistency, and certainly isn't brilliant- that's not what is said, though. What I said was that he was brilliant for a spell- which he certainly was for the Tottenham match. I also think he could be very useful if given more freedom going forward- so much of his game was lost helping out in defence.
I also think that we can't really say he'll be gone soon because he, along with Howson, has been used as a sub quite a bit. He's clearly valued, but unlucky that the current team have found a rhythm. I would not be surprised if Bennett's still with us in three years' time. All it will take is an injury to Snodgrass and Bennett will be starting again.
