True, he hasn't had consistency, and certainly isn't brilliant- that's not what is said, though. What I said was that he was brilliant for a spell- which he certainly was for the Tottenham match. I also think he could be very useful if given more freedom going forward- so much of his game was lost helping out in defence.

I also think that we can't really say he'll be gone soon because he, along with Howson, has been used as a sub quite a bit. He's clearly valued, but unlucky that the current team have found a rhythm. I would not be surprised if Bennett's still with us in three years' time. All it will take is an injury to Snodgrass and Bennett will be starting again.

For a new left footed winger/striker for January, what about Sone Aluko?

Disagree with that. The sort of player i think every team needs who are fighting for survival. A right winger who offers so much defensively and is dangerous attacking. I think he is out the team at the minute because Hughton wants to show faith in his most expensive signing Snodgrass.

I also think he is most consistent. Admittedly he isn't always the most involved in games sometimes but always is solid defensively and barely puts a foot wrong. I think your being pretty harsh on the guy. Agree he is straight lines though, but sometimes its works with his pace.

Again, I really couldn't describe him as being a dangerous player. Last season whenever I saw him he barely done anything, he's just anonymous in too many games for me.

As I said above, you obviously didn't watch him in the last ten games of the season, when he was outstanding in a free role and particularly against Tottenham away. So clearly he is dangerous, just not when he's committing the majority of his time to defensive work.

Given the Holt comment, he clearly has a fierce shot from range and that goal came as no surprise.

Ultimately, he's far from perfect, but I think we have to accept that a team like Norwich is not going to have Gareth Bale. At least, not for long.

I really think what you've picked up on is his lack of self-confidence Carrabuh. You harp on about wanting to see us play technical football- yes, he's quite a straight line runner, but he doesn't play the dreaded hoofball and I think his touch and passing can be superb.

As mentioned above, he's not in the team because of Snodgrass, but ultimately he's not "out" of the team as such- not like Fox, Ward, C Martin or even Surman...

He's "out" the team because he doesn't play well enough for long enough, like any other player. He is reasonably tidy on the ball and generally I like these types of player, I just find when he plays there is not alot to remember of him, no incisive pass, no great crossing, no beating of players, like I said earlier, very bland.

Exactly- he has all the right attributes, but you're ignoring the fact that he IS capable of it and he has shown it in small doses. He needs to focus on attack and the more I think about it, the more I think he suffers from lack of confidence. He's still quite young

I'd agree the style of footbal we play is probably more of a hindrance to him, I'd quite like to see how he'd be playing up front with Holt, not in a Hoolahan type role but in a genuine strikers role.

He could be like C Martin but able to run and like Jackson without the lousy touch
