He is still going to be quality for us. I just know it. I'm never wrong.
I had never heard of him before we signed him but i remember tis forum going crazy over it. It didn't work out for whatever reason which i am quite sad about because i quite liked him. Now though those same people that were going mad for him and praising the club at the time seem to hold it against Cortese.
I had never heard of him either, but it was our first season back in the Premier League, he played in Italy, is South American, has an exotic sounding name that fits 7 nation chanting and .... and this is the big thing.... he hit the cross bar with a free-kick in the Olympics that summer!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah - I blame Cortese - he ain't here anymore.

Personally I don't think he was given a proper chance while he was here. He didn't do too badly while on loan at Hull and he isn't doing too badly at Middlesborough. I just think he got tarred with the same brush as a certain other individual and a certain manager wasn't happy as he wasn't his choice to start with..........In other words I think he was a Cortese purchase. Would you guys have him back today?

So he was well off form in his second season at Hull and he had plenty of opportunity to show his abilities at Saints. My abiding memory of him at Saints was seeing the squad and thinking "great, this'll be his breakthrough game". He had plenty of time to shine but never did. He always looked like he should but very rarely delivered.

Had a 4 course meal and watched Saints play at the Etihad...enjoyable, but you don't feel as much part of the action as when amongst the crowd. It was a few years ago, but it reminded me of a swimming pool as it was so blue.
Im optimistic about our chances at the Etihad on 23rd - hope so anyway as im going to that game ! Last time i was there was when JRod got injured so hoping for nothing like that this time.
