He did not fail a medical for you, he passed it. He did not sign for you because you tried to change the terms of his contract after previously agreeing them so he signed for us instead.

As usual the press are wrong.

Liverpool medical chief Dr Peter Brukner says Sylvain Marveaux did not fail his medical last week.

Newcastle United swooped in for the former Rennes winger after Liverpool pulled the plug on talks over fitness concerns.

Brukner, speaking on Melbourne radio, confirmed Marveaux's comments that he did not fail his medical with the Reds.

Newcastle No2 John Carver has also rubbished claims of concerns over the midfielder's long-term fitness.

Hmm i just wonder why Liverpool would change the terms of his contract... oh it maybe it was due to fears over his fitness!

Remember the Geordies celebrating this as if they had gotten one over us in the summer. That was only slightly less short-lived than their current form will be.
 
Maybe Marv jus didnt fany being 'Fisted' by Reina before every game like he's just admited to doing with Carra before every game on Soccer AM...may explain Carras form a the moment haha!! Bumders!!

Ps...Marv was a freebie on minimal wages (no risk) - thanks for the £35m for Shirley..he looks...er...great <cough>!

Don't be daft.

He passed the medical , you changed terms after you had agreed a deal prior to that and he decided to join us.

Yea he's injured for a few months but we signed him on a 5 year deal not a 3 months deal. And he was a freebie as well.

He's a classy player and he's really impressed me so far <ok>
