On the other hand Oliver Letwin has done an act of sabotage against the will of the 17.4 million who democratically voted in the referendum to leave.
Remainers will do anything to get their undemocratic way and ignore the referendum result....not just sabotage but more like treason.

Parliament cannot be expected to give blanket approval to a half-finished and half-assed agreement. It's up to the Government to document exactly what they are asking approval for and if they can't or won't, then it's their own ineptitude that's brought this on themselves. Letwin has done the country a favour by not letting this distrustworthy PM free rein in the negotiations.
We don't need an election because there are too many other variables, including the danger of letting Corbyn in. Brexit is the only issue that needs resolving and we need another referendum, conducted this time in an honest and truthful manner by the Leave side and with the benefit of knowing that the EU will not roll over for the UK, which is what we were told at the time.

What are all you leavers afraid of plym? If you are so convinced that your argument is the right one then surely the second result will be the same as the first or even greater. Both sides lied and that is not the way to conduct a vote on something as important as this one was. Facts were lacking and without them how can anyone make up their mind in a proper way. There were no details on what we were actually voting for as an example. What were the terms of leaving and how much was that going to cost us is but one question without an answer,

I'm just convinced that in all the rhetoric there were lies on BOTH sides at some point. I did make the 1975 point previously myself and you are right that this is a re-run of that which voted in. If a second Referendum is ok for that then another one is fair for this. As I recall there were many leaflets delivered and news stories regarding entering the EU the first time around. Nobody was promised a fortune to be spent on the NHS or anything else. In other words we were given proper facts to consider. This time that was not the case and therefore the outcome has to be seen as sketchy and a tad unsafe to say the least. Now however there is a lot more known about what it entails, what it costs and there are no lies to be posted on buses that people would believe. Well not unless they are completely stupid anyway. So now we are informed give us another go at it and for me, if the result is the same as the first one, I will not like it but I will accept it as part of the democracy that is the UK. As it stands I totally refuse to accept this vote as being either democratic or fair. Once it is done then a General Election should follow.

I always thought that the Speaker was the equivalent of a referee in football....a good one was hardly noticed and did his job without really being the main act.
John Bercow on the other hand although not far short of being a midget is swinging from the rafters screaming out....look at me everyone....look how great I am...I've swallowed a dictionary...aren't I clever.
He spent at least 50% of the time talking and never missed the chance of taking over from the MP's who were the real debaters not him.
.....and of course he is a staunch remainer seemingly giving an unfair advantage to the opposition when really he should be playing it down the middle.....at the end of the month he retires and he'll be able to play tennis all day long... although he can hardly see over the net.....will he still have enough perks to keep his out of controlled wife happy.
There are some bullying cases against him that are coming to court soon....his staff have felt very intimidated by him and he will be cross examined about it....will he talk the inquiry to a stand still....will they wish in the end that they hadn't start it....who knows.

Great restraint there plym. You took until your 5th paragraph to make your main point which is of course "he is a remainer". If he was a leaver you wouldn't even be commenting.
Exactly. He's rightly upholding the rights and conventions of Parliament over an Executive which is bandying about phrases like "come Hell or high water", "surrender" and "rather be dead in a ditch". None of that gives the impression of a Government which is assessing the situation rationally and reasonably. No wonder MP's don't trust this PM and his Cabinet and are insisting on going through it all themselves, as is their duty.
I mentioned it because The Speaker should be impartial and he clearly isn't...his views are well publicized....how can he be even handed.

Going to tell you a story from the old American West.....150 years plus ago.
US Cavalry Patrol riding through a strong Red Indian controlled mountainous area....the Cavalry Officer in charge has sent his most experienced Army Scout ahead to check the terrain for any marauding Red Indian Braves setting up a trap to attack the Cavalry.
The Army Scout is riding about a mile ahead of the Cavalry patrol... using his experience gained over many years on the trail, learnt the hard way and strengthened by the help of an old Indian Warrior Brave... who now worked for the US Cavalry....this Brave had passed on all his skills that he had used in the past against the US Cavalry and in hunting down animals to help feed his fellow tribe members.
Peering ahead the Army Scout thought he could see an Indian Braves pony standing next to the trail about 500 yards ahead. Cautiously the Army Scout advanced with his rifle in his hand and then as he came nearer he could see an old Indian Brave laying on the trail with his head to the ground.
As he got very near he shouted out to the Indian Brave....asking him what he was up to....the Indian Brave seemed to be muttering....so the Army Scout feeling that there was no danger got off his horse and came up close to the Indian Brave.....knowing a little of the local Indian language he got down beside the Brave and listened to what he was muttering........the old Indian was saying....."Stagecoach, pulled by four horses...two white and two black....coach driver has a rifle carrying guard sitting up front with him.....four passengers in the coach....two men and two women....and carrying on top of the Stagecoach two large chests of luggage.
The Army Scout looked on in amazement....the Indian Brave who had taught him in the past had taught him many things about reading the signs on the trail....but this old Indian Brave laying on the trail was something else....how on earth could he know all those things by just putting his head to the ground....incredible ability to read the signs.....the Army Scout admiring this old warrior asked him how he did it....how on earth could he know all that by listening to the trail.
The old Indian Brave looked up at the Army Scout and shook his head saying.....you stupid Yankee.....the Stagecoach has just raced past me and knocked me off my pony....you'd think they would give way for an old retired Indian Brave.
