It looks like we're in for a sensational year when it comes to athletics. Even though the season has just begun, the new kids on the block are beginning to make a name for themselves. Last Saturday at Birmingham, the 21 year old Yomif Kejelcha attempted to take Hicham El Guerrouj's indoor 1500m record, but was out sprinted over the last 200m by the reigning world indoor champion,19 year old Samuel Tefera who snatched the world record for himself.

Norway's young sensation Jacob Ingebrigsten takes the Junior 1500m World Record in Dusseldorf yesterday with a time of 3:36:02. The hot favourite for the event, Samuel Tefera, the man who beat El Guerrouj's indoor 1500 World Record just 4 days before, didn't have the legs at the end. The 3:31:04 seemed to have really taken a toll on him. Still, it was a wonderful run from Ingebrigsten.

What a man; what a team! I watched an England - West Indies test series with my Granny when we stayed with her and my Grandad when she was unwell. Crisps, orange juice, mince'n'tatties and cricket nearly every day!

These guys must need wheel barrows to carry around their nads. <yikes>

Michael Rutter punting the demo V4 Ducati Panigale around the Isle of Man last year. Alvaro Bautista debuted the 998 last weekend at the first round of the Super Bike World Championship. It cleaned up. Rutter's bike is the 1100. The speedo shuts down at 185 MPH but the bike keeps climbing.

Cyc, we buried my grans ashes in the Isle of Man last summer, right opposite the start/finish line actually, big church up on the hill. Then we drove the route that they took in a poxy old car, which doing just that you could sense with the twists n turns, climbs and drops that it must be some fun to be able to go round the course pushing a bike to its and your limits. But his footage is just incredible. Wow, just wow... Didn't recognise much of it going past though, going too bloomin quick...!!
