All wrong lads. Paschendale probably had a higher death count, but not in a single day. Kiwi warmest, but not hot.
To be honest I was stunned when I heard about this battle, once you know about it you will never forget it, and dominate the pub quiz for years to come.

Right war, we're getting close......honestly Sooper, I am a history graduate and a history addict and had never heard of this battle until I happened to catch a documentary a couple of years ago.
No, I thought that was Bosworth Field. It was an earlier battle, armies were led by Henry VI and Edward IV.

Never heard of Towton either, the final battle was Stoke Field where there was a policy of 'no quarter', so all the losers were slaughtered...

Close enough Beth a completely yellow flag on a ship means freed from quarantine in modern shipping (An earlier times it was reversed). Modern shipping uses yellow in combination with another colour to indicate contagion - normally black as in the so called flag of Lima, and now changes this to a yellow one to indicate all clear. Over to you !
