By that I mean which 2 London football clubs contested the first ever professional London derby, played within London ?Cheers Stan. Which 2 professional football clubs contested the first London derby ?
Sorry Jeff. Charlton Athletic FC. were only founded in 1905. This is older.Charlton & Arsenal
Sorry Willy, not Millwall v West ham. There is a catch to the question which involves changes to the boundaries of London. Was it the Millwall v West Ham (then known as Thames Ironworks) FA Cup game in 1899-1900?
One of them is right Beth.QPR Vs spurs

I'll give you a clue Beth. There is a trick to the question because Tottenham's ground was in Middlesex at that time and so they couldn't have been involved in a London derby.Assuming Spurs is right...Looking up Spurs history on wiki
Initially, the boys played games between themselves and friendly matches against other local clubs. The first recorded match took place on 30 September 1882 against a local team named the Radicals, which Hotspur lost 2–0.[12] The team entered their first cup competition in the London Association Cup, and won 5–2 in their first competitive match on 17 October 1885 against a company's works team called St Albans.
So guess 1 ...The Radicles
2 St albans
Not Arsenal v Fulham Stan. Despite being London's oldest professional clubs they first played each other in the cup in 1905 - this is older.Arsenal v Fulham
2 teams who were then professional (at the time of the match) and who are still professional. Both had their base within the London boundaries of that time, and the match was also played in London. It also was in a competition.Cologne ...am I right... if not then
I assume that you do not mean a match played between two local rivals...in london...as a local derby
But between two now established teams in either a formalised league or cup competition

You are right StrollerBy Holmes-like deduction, I have concluded that QPR is one of the clubs....
QPR v Fulham
The two teams played their first match in the West London Cup Final in 1892 (long before Chelsea were invented). The match was played at Kensal Rise, just inside the boundaries of the then County of London. Both were professional at that time - and although QPR played at a number of grounds in those days (London and Middlesex) they were based in London at the time of the match. Arsenal and Fulham didn't play each other until 1905. A whole host of clubs were not in London at that stage, Brentford and Spurs (Middlesex) and West Ham in Essex. Over to you.Jimi Hendrix and George Handel. There is a London street where neighbouring properties bear blue plaques commemorating two musical geniuses. Who are they?
Jimi Hendrix and George Handel.
Complete guess, but I feel a classy one.
