Both makes of rugby sportswear? (I know because my son wears some of their stuff and its a tad pricey). But I suspect this is not the answer you are looking for....
Rats, now I have to think up a question through a fog of jet lag.....ok, what is the nearest pub to Loftus Road featured in CAMRAs Good Beer Guide? For total transparency I don't know the answer to this, and am about to fall into a brief coma, so have fun with it. According to the app which I have just downloaded but am too mean and befuddled to pay to get the full utility from, the nearest recommended pub to where I am now is 5,391.8 miles away, the Valhalla in Unst.
How about the C&S? please log in to view this image http://www.perfectpint.co.uk/best-real-ale-pubs-UK/698/The-Crown-and-Sceptre
If it is listed in the CAMRA guide it wins hands down. I've walked past it many times over the years but never went in. My perfect Saturday matchday will always be The Crown & Sceptre pre-game, followed by a stirring R's win, then the Coningham Arms for post-match celebrations with the not606 crew and the Irish R's for company!
Roller, you must have a copy of the CAMRA Best Beer guide? In the early 1970's my brother, who was living in London, used to take me on many excursions to CAMRA listed pubs, it was like the beer bible in a world of Watney's Red Barrel. How about the Princess Victoria? http://www.perfectpint.co.uk/best-real-ale-pubs-UK/6650/Princess-Victoria
Funny you should mention Watney's Red Barrel as it came up in conversation during the last week, but only in a Monty Python sense. Probably in this sketch (but I've still got no sound on my laptop) ...... Not the Princess Victoria either....
The Defectors Weld in W12. Great selection of real ales and 6 taps to choose from! From Sambrooks, to Adnams to Trumans brewery! http://www.timeout.com/london/bars-pubs/londons-best-real-ale-pubs
According to the CAMRA website the answer is the Queen Adelaide. Why did Mr and Mrs Kipling decide to call their son Rudyard?
Its a place name, I think where his parents met, or got engaged or something. Without looking it up I couldn't say where it is though.
Indeed Stan where his parents first met; as Colgone goes on to say, Rudyard Lake in Staffordshire. Curiously I'm just back in from a quiz night. Disappointingly we came 2nd, but watched the eventual winners cheat on their mobiles all night long. What is the world coming to? Over to you mate.
