This is preposterous and I would honestly say suggests the opposite of what is intended - bragging that your town has a HUGE Primark is like being cock-a-hoop that you have an enormous Poundland. It says that Primark the company believe the store can serve a large population of people who have low incomes who hope to buy their office Christmas party outfit for £15 all in.
It is a bit like arguing about who's got the most council houses, or the most single mothers, or crack addicts...
