Must be a real pisser knowing you've done a 1h 1 min time. Imagine getting that underneath the hour.

Still, top bloke, top runner and great sporting hero and representative for our nation.

Kinda cool for whoever was the millionth finisher too.

.....wins the Great North Run.

Looked to me like t'other bloke was pacing Mo for a sub 60 pb. But well done Mo. Also Paula Rs womens record went by 1 second. Great 2nd place for us in womens race as she smashed her pb. Well done all round the Brits. Well done everyone.

Interesting isnt it the way the country celebrates a Somalian muslim refugee when it suits them. Say those words together in any other context and Daily Mail readers would **** themselves with fury.

Funny how some people in this country think someone not born here is British but others who were and whose parents were are German.

I'll celebrate anyone who comes to England, makes an effort, and does themselves and the rest of us proud. It's what made Britain great.

I know you're not that dense. You don't have to be born here to be British. British status is something that can be earned. He has.

Yet someone actually born here to a mother who can trace her lineage back about a thousand years is still described as German. At least by lefties, who don't talk much sense about everything.
There is a difference between being British and being a British citizen. Same elsewhere. If you decided to go live and work in France or Spain you could well in time become a French or Spanish citizen if you so decided. Whether you would be French or Spanish is another matter. Of course in this day and age people representing countries at a whole host of sports where not born in the country whose colours they wear.

When Mo wins he does so as a proud Brit, not as a proud Muslim

I think most sportspeople in this day and age think more of the personal success and opportunities and the earnings they will receive. Not that there is anything fundamentally wrong with that.

Putting it nicely yeah that's true, unlike Andy Murray, who always refers to himself as Scotish and not British

A common misconception fostered by the tabloids and based on his oft-misquoted comments about the England football team which were meant to be in jest but were twisted by the headline writers.

He represents Great Britain in the Davis Cup and states he is proud to do so. He's shown that pride on more than one occasion.

Soz. You've lost me there. I had no idea you were German, or not, tbh your post is a little rambley, so that's unclear. Nor do I understand why you'd get abuse of lefties over it either.

Actually, what the hell is the point you're making? What's any of that got to do with a guy who holds British citizenship who proudly represent Britain at the highest level and is a great ambassador and role model for anyone, winning the great North run??

He's talking about the Royal family.

It's one of his copy-and-paste repeat arguments on CI (i.e. lefties slag off the Royals for being German, but don't mind Mo Farah being British).

Don't encourage him.

No politics or religion, let's not have another one closed, thanks.

Where are the politics in this? Pointing out that something is a person's religion and not their nationality is not politics.

Thie issue with this one is religion, obviously, I was just reminding everyone of the rules.

Yeah, there's no politics here, obviously...
