Yeah Ben Arfa is class in this game, because winning the Europa League qualifies you for the Champion's League 4QR, he wanted to come and I snagged him on a free. Couldn't get Ramirez though. Tom Ince has been unbelieveably good as well. In fact, him and Livermore are currently in the England squad. Although I forgot to sign a RB, so Brian Lenihan is now taking up the role.
Haven't played FM for a few years. It got a little too involved, and I didn't have the patience to persevere with the tactics ect. I have just ordered a copy now though, so will give it a try. I preferred the old champ managers, especially the one where we were in div 3 and you could sign taribo west on a free transfer at the start of the season.
These games take over my life for about six months of the year. I have collected so many of them. But for some reason I can never get into my city save, think it's because I'm **** with money. Make me get free' sand loans and I'm the man. I started one with Exeter, got promoted first season finishing 3rd and now 5th just coming into December got £2M in the bank but won't spend it as I always pay to much for players. Love raiding all the players the big four let go every year.
I've been playing FM since 2001 and have had every one since, so I've plenty of experience. I'm enjoying the new one, there are still a couple of things that annoy me but they seem to have got this one about right. I'm playing as City as well, finished 13th in my first season and got to the Semis of the Europa League before I got knocked out by LOSC which annoyed me! I've sold Hernandez as well, he was a right stroppy ****er and couldn't hit a cows arse with a banjo so I shifted him on for £10 million. Not really brought any one in for the first team apart from Danny Ings who is really good. Currently 6th in the League at Christmas in my second season but out of the League Cup after losing to Boro on penalties.
This one does seem easier. Although, I do think its harder to get players to come to hull. Used to be able to get anyone you wanted near enough.
