Great the kids will love it, mind you a bit embarrassing if they beat our first team. Anybody there keep us updated on the score.
What do you expect with league 1 players on a pittance who don’t want to be here and should leave as we just aren’t worthwhile as a club. # weareshit
It's great for the kids, I went with 2 of my Grandson's to the one Leo did, and they loved it.

I'm sure plenty on here will have photos/memories of BP open days that have lasted decades.
Hopefully the club will get more out of this than the kids, and will learn to engage regularly with the fans of the future, and reclaim the youngsters from adolescent obesity in an RL replica shirt.
This engagement stuff is a journey not a destination, and events like today are easy wins.
Expect possible lifelong affiliation.....

Funny thing is that though I like Grant McCann I wondered if he was a bit dour, but he seemed to be in his element inviting all the kids onto the pitch. Maybe something to be said for having a young father of three as manager. Good piece in the HDM about how he is definitely playing a big part in the bridge building generally.
It just seems that he has come on board at the right time, as I'm sure Nigel & Leo would have embraced what is happening with half-price tickets etc. I'm sure there has been some pushing from McCann to do this, but can't help feeling he just has come in when the owners have finally come to the conclusion that they need to get the fans back onside for financial reasons.
In truth, it’s about time something like this happened. Everybody seems to be trying to take credit for organising it - from the recently-departed VB, to the new team taking over marketing, to the rep stand reps, etc. One of which who has seemed to turn against the trust - yep, him again... (why would you even need to ask why to renew if you were committed to helping the club and its fans)
Something good finally happened for fans - something we’ve all been calling for for years on here (particularly getting kids involved) and now they’ve finally started to listen - likely because the money is drying up (and sadly I don’t think I’m being cynical) - and those involved are celebrating like they’ve achieved world peace.
I wish I could think better of the stand representatives idea but it’s been proven that many of them just sit there nodding their head discussing whatever the club want to discuss. Some of them block the fans they represent on Twitter for any disagreement too. It’s a joke. But then, we knew that already...

Everything passes through Ehab and he sets the agenda, he has been the reason why in the past nothing like we are seeing now happened. IMO they have realised that they now need the fans back onside for financial reasons because the parachute payments have dried up, and have taken the shackles off.
Having said that, whoever is the social media guru has certainly vastly improved the quality of the output in recent times.
He's called Ben and he's doing a grand job.
Ben's a legend. He's done a fantastic job since taking over the role.

NINETEEN HULL CITY FANS SHARED A ONCE-IN-A-LIFETIME EXPERIENCE LAST WEEK AS THEY HAD LUNCH WITH CLUB LEGEND ANDY DAWSON AT THE KCOM STADIUM.
In what was the final instalment of the Club’s successful Half Term @ Hull City series of events, the lucky competition winners enjoyed a buffet meal with the former Tigers left-back, who made more than 300 appearances in a black and amber shirt during his ten-year association with the Club, and were also joined by host for the afternoon John Hawley.
After the food, the group of fans had the opportunity to quiz the 41-year-old on his unforgettable spell as a Hull City player, along with his recent return to the Club as Lead Professional Development Phase Coach at the Academy.
Reflecting on the afternoon, Dawson said: “It was a great afternoon at the KCOM and it was nice to sit down with the fans and discuss old times as well as the future. Hopefully everyone enjoyed the experience as much as I did!”
