Cheers mate. That’s a quality article about a quality lad.

This bit was one of many that stood out:
It scares O'Nien that had he not gone on this journey of self-discovery, his own potential could have gone unrealised. It might never have happened for him. And if it might not have happened for him, how many others never reconcile the mental side of the game?

"I could have been shipped out of Sunderland. Dropped two leagues. Never had four Wembley appearances. Failing at Sunderland would have been with me forever. I would have been left thinking I was not good enough when it was really just a mindset problem. A thinking problem.

"That I could have missed out on all that just from a lack of knowledge and understanding, which football has a duty to provide but doesn't, is unforgivable for me. It makes no sense. I want more people to have opportunities. I want to be that go-to person who can help people turn things around."

2 great moments from Luke yesterday:

1) Getting his yellow card for a piggyback on Alex Scott! A superb moment of banter in the game and stopping the counter attack without having to kick or injury his opponent.

2) His entrance to the stadium (seen on Access All Areas). He doesn't just say hello to the security and the social media blokes. He goes and shakes the hand of about 6 people stood there, asks them how they're doing and then goes up to the kids waiting to go into the dressing room and gives them all high fives, making them feel great.

O'Nien must be brilliant to have around the club, not just for his on-pitch efforts, but in the dressing room and more importantly, as a person. It's a privilege to have him at our club.

Pretty sure he DDTed someone yesterday aswell.

Credit to Alex Scott for his part in Luke’s piggy back.
No nasty reaction from him and he didn’t make any fuss.

As for Luke, what an absolute top bloke.
Best yellow card ever.

That and the beach ball are to two funniest in game things I've seen live in there.

The 2 other funniest none in game was full time and Villa Park, and the rage on the Man U fans when they didn't win the leauge.
