Awful times. Beheadings in france and now this in Austria. Covid-19 still rife as well. What the **** is going on in the world.

Obviously a weird thing to say given it is a religiously motivated attack.
I think it comes down to people being disenfranchised by their state and the world.
After that they lean into extreme beliefs and it galvanises them to kick out at a world that has treated them pretty ****ing woefully.
I think it's all indicative of far bigger problems than my God thinks this and your God thinks that. And it could quite easily be stopped before it comes to that.

Osama Bin Laden was part of the royal family (although distant). How had the western world treated him F***ing woefully? These people are being used by others who are leading a fairly wealthy lifestyle so if anything they've been treated woefully by their own kind.

I'm not talking about Bin Laden or other leaders though. I'm talking about the people who become so detached from the world that they are happier to kill themselves trying to harm it than live in it.
Look after people. Don't let them become susceptible to radicalisation and brainwashing. Get rid of the cannon fodder.

Which was the point i was trying to make. The shot callers lead a privileged lifestyle and the cannon fodder can't see that that's all they are.
It's been going on for centuries and it's not goping to stop anytime soon. The biggest problem is that as society our leaders don't have the balls to step up and stop it. If we blockade them we're accused of breaching their human rights, if we give them a taste of their own medicine we're unfeeling towards their plight.
Sadly the shot callers have instilled the ideology or martyrism into their disciples so it makes it hard to combat. Simple solution, cut off the snakes head by whatever means. If innocents start getting killed because of the scum that they inadvertantly shelter they'll soon turn on them imho.

Fr me it is a case of drastic times require drastic measures. The terrorist they have shot dead was a known islamic fanatic who had already served time for threats against the west and trying to join up with ISIS. For me, anyone who has been found guilty if crimes such as this should not be allowed to walk the streets.

We’ll have thousands walking our streets. How many times has a known sympathiser committed an atrocity here, then after the event, the authorities say “he was on our radar”.
