Hi what a game that was. I remember it so well mainly as it was one of my rare appearances in the top of the old double decker.
Back in 1968 when we played Arsenal in the FA Cup, I sat for a while on the little ‘kerb’ at the front of the North Bank!
You had a comfortable seat. I was on the corrugated fence by the floodlight between the North Bank and the East terrace. Painful or what!
On this day 6 years ago: Youssouf Mulumbu scored a late winner as West Bromwich Albion came from behind to beat Premier League relegation rivals Swansea. The Swans has dominated the first half and went ahead early on thanks to Roland Lamah's solo effort. However, Stephane Sessegnon's 25-yard strike brought a resurgent West Brom level after the break. Mulumbu then shot in off the post with five minutes left to give Pepe Mel his first win as Baggies manager. The result moved West Brom to 16th, three points clear of the relegation zone and within one point of Swansea who were 14th.
First game I went to Swans v Plymouth sat in the double decker, I was mesmerised watching Wyndham, that’s the reason why I fell in love with The Swans.
