Oli McBurnie

Our best free agent signing since who? Our best striker since who? What a phenomenal impact he's having!
I think last night was his best game for a while. Previously it looked like he was still carrying the effects of his injury, but in the disorganised/organised chaos of last night he reigned supreme. Why? Sergei talked about a different approach, and we seemed to play more long balls last night, while at the same time mixing it up with the delightful passing moves such as the one that Egan finished. Perhaps playing Gelhardt, Joseph and McBurnie together helped give McB more freedom. But also (before his v sad injury) Giles and Millar combined sensationally and balls were firing in from that left wing like a machine gun. Once Giles went off Millar reverted to the frustrating ‘no end product’/firing balls miles over version of himself.

Ah - a % of the future fee.

As Bruce said above, we seldom signed anyone for that sort of fee after relegation to Div3 - let alone for an unproven non-league player.

That said, same season, I think we paid 50k for Alan Fettis from Ards.

Regan slater must be our best ever paid transfer?
For the price in modern football
A player who is close to 200 games for us..
In recent times, could be a candidate.

As could Stephen Quinn.

If you were looking at profit from a paid for signing, would Maguire or Clucas be the best?
