Lot of controversy over the Wirtz goal but it’s all been caused by Sky who showed the wrong picture of the decision. They showed the 2nd freeze frame when Wirtz is slightly further forward and not the one that VAR used which is the frame before which is what the automated offside picked up and shows him further back in an onside position.
Yeah, this annoys me. How accurate can it be to tell the exact millisecond of contact? A player can move significantly in a fraction of a second so even still frames are inconclusive.
The one the telly kept showing had him with his right foot planted (which did look offside to me), but the semi-automated cartoon had him with his foot still off the ground so was obviously fractionally earlier.
Yet another example to me of the futility of trying to turn a dynamic game into some sort of video game.

See also the pundits always refering the lines in the grass which are not relevant and not part of the system.

Slot says it is hard to hear the fans saying his football is dull and boring and he wants to play attractive football.

It's been necessary to steady the ship, but I don't think anyone wants to see it continue indefinitely.
Drab, tedious performances are one thing. I'd hoped, a bit more caution, a bit more safety and we'd become tighter, less open, less easily scored against.

Unfortunately I really don't see it, we are ****e to watch, still incredibly open and look like conceding any time the oppo have a break. To top it off at times it looks like we could play for 90 hours never mind minutes and not score a goal.

Out of the next 8 fixtures I'll be amazed if we manage 4 wins.

I agree we're not playing well at all - it'd be foolish to say otherwise - but I don't think it's quite as bad as you're saying. There's always a tendency to polarise things - if it's not great it's terrible - but I think the reality is somewhere in between, like it is with most things.
The defence has tightened up, though it's still not good enough, and there have only been a handful of games where we've failed to score.
We have high expectations, and we're obviously falling short of them - but we all know that, nobody is kidding themselves that everything is rosy.
Rather than drab and tedious, frustrating is how I'd describe it - seeing players underperforming that we know are capable of better.

Semantics, but it boils down to the team being a bit of a mess.

The defence has improved but I'd put that down to konate not having a brain fart at least once a game.

The midfield double pivot, that doesn't pivot or double is a mess, both seem likely to **** off up front like a pair of 11 year olds at any given moment.

This why we are so open. I dont understand last season-grav you're the 6 lad, just sit look after the defence=fairly solid.

This season grav + 1, your both playing 6, but both of you feel free to run off where ever, don't worry about the striker and midfielder your leaving with acres of space, it's fine.

We look incredibly disorganised. Ive said it looks like half the team get one set of tactic, the other half get told the opposite.

I reckon kerkez gets told both it why he looks massively confused all the time.

Will be a tough one to predict, Arsenal really haven't been that GREAT themselves bar the odd performance. They're pretty negative and lose control in games after leading much like we do.

Just go for it and see what happens :emoticon-0165-muscl

It would be great if the referees did something about Arsenal obstructing goalkeepers on corners. One stands right in front, one right behind and one muscles in at the side, then they jostle, raise arms and all sorts nut get away with it. Have a look at the goal they got against Villa, clear obstruction of the goalkeeper
