There is an irony in that first year FSG actually get a "coach" , get Richard and after doing their thing splash the cash it's gone horribly wrong so far.

Dunno what to be more afraid of... That FSG won't spend over 20 mil again or will go cocaine mental and spend another 500 mill in summer to prove Slots the man
 
I didn't see the game but kept checking the score and each time we were up I thought, that's it, we're winning this. 2-0 felt like it would turn into 3-0. Checking back i wasn't expecting to see 2-2 and at 2-3 I thought this will go down as a hard fought win. Obviously the final result says it wasn't a hard fought win.

Missing out on actually watching the game means you don't have all the various scenarios whizzing around in your head for hours and can just take the result and move on.

Without seeing the game and coming to a conclusion based on the result alone, all I can say about what's happening is it's bizarre.

As long as we buy some new defenders and a DM, then things might work out. But I don't trust Hughes and then Slot to get it right.
 
I thought we were cruising until Konate's needless "challenge" for the penalty; that brought unnecessary pressure and nerves on the team and we suffered the consequences. Yes, we retained the lead but I'm certain we'd have seen the game home if that penalty hasn't been conceded. Its, buts and maybe though innit...

On another note, after going 3-2 up, Slot killed us with his changes. Took the attacker players off leaving just Isak (who runs as much as a dried up teabag) to shut up shop and invited pressure. It was inevitable... <doh>

I watch other teams and they have CB's and CM's crunching into tackles and flinging themselves in front of shots, when the opposition are attacking.

We have the CM's that let them run through the center and then VvD turning his back on every long range shot.

Yep. Nobody really puts their body on the line, whether it’s blocking shots, stopping crosses, reading danger in the opponent’s half and stopping attacks. We just allow it all
 
I had a good relationship with the manager. All of a sudden we don't have any relationship. I don't know why. It seems to me that someone doesn't want me in the club.

I don't. Don't care how big a legend you are at the club or what the situation is, you don't disrespect the manager.

That sort of talk makes it sound like Mo thinks he's bigger and more important than the sun of its parts. Not good from a so called leader of the team

could be one of a few players that could say that. I actually feel sorry for Mo. We clearly are not playing any type of football that suits any of our forward players.

And that's when it's done... We will argue whether it's Salah past his best looking for an excuse or Slot gave him the chance and then took a stand... (Either way , Salah had the upper hand unless results improved in his absence)

Tbh... If it had been a mixed season, I'd dismiss Salah whining...he hasn't worked hard for team for 3 years..(back and forth). Klopp wouldn't have him on this year as a starter if he was still manager and had bought a replacement..

But..this is where Slot is on a hiding to nothing... 5 senior players, all past their best.. that can blame the manager... Whether rightly or wrongly... Tough enough if just a mixed season to handle... Impossible if you have a bad one.
