You dip into the youth if there isn't a senior, it's what clubs have done for as long as they've had reserves and youth squads.

And as to drop, from last night it's easy, Curtis Jones finds his way to the bench, where he should be.

Tbf, only Szobbo deserves to keep his place on last night's showing, and that includes Mammory and Gravy, especially in that 2nd half. Not practical to bench the whole team, though, or Virgil would be out as well.

Grav needs to sit in front of the defence like last season.
Mac needs to get his energy back.
Konate can **** off, clear he's no desire to stay and decided not to bother, should have been sold imo
Salah is done, one last hurrah last season. Sell in the summer.
Frimpong is a RB or not, if not Bradly can't be relied upon as everyone knew he's made of paper straws.

Front three should be Wirtz, Isak, Ekitike.
The midfield three should stop trying to be forwards and protect the defence, if they did that the fullbacks wouldn't be out of position all the time as they would have cover when they go forward.

Be nice if we had one.
Gomez is the only senior one, and he's been very patchy as well - and who'd we drop to accommodate him?
As I pointed out, it's the same problem we had for years with Trent under Klopp. I never liked it then and still don't.
We've got Calvin Ramsey. Not much first team experience, granted, but he's a fully fit, available RB.

As an aside, after winning our first five games, some people were saying 'Trent who?' Now it's 'Trent where are you'. (I'm not calling for him back, to be clear. )

<peacedove>Another London Club on Sunday, for more than 70 years Liverpool have not experienced any thing like this 'form' under Arne Slot. Suddenly, Arne Slot's job is not that safe. West Ham game is now a must win game.
West Ham are getting their acts together, they have won three games in a row. and Liverpool are now weeping boys. Referee already confirmed to be Darren England

it’s much more than this. It’s fitness, team structure, playing patterns, balance, confidence - more bullshit football than total football. And then to rub salt into the wound, we keep doing exactly the same thing. It’s like the worst possible Groundhog Day that you can imagine. wtf is going on?
I genuinely think you are looking too deep
But that’s what this forum is for
Those players are good players
We miss workhorses
As much as he was derided a Hendo
A Kuyt
A Diaz
A Nunez

we shall see

You miss Trent

i understand it’s hard to admit but that’s the real issue

He was your best playmaker
Not sure
It’s hilarious how the narratives change
For the past five years non Liverpool fans have said how **** Trent is
While Liverpool fans claim he was world
Class
Suddenly Trent Leaves and Liverpool were a one man team

I think it’s a number of things

Missing Trent is irrelevant as he didn’t want to stay - we have the same issue with Konate

Madrid are a much bigger club I cannot blame anyone for wanting to go

I don’t think it’s Trent we miss I think our balance is wrong

For years people have been saying Trent can’t defend but the gaffa was happy with it

I think Salah is the key on a lot of levels
I would have gotten rid of Salah but I would have gotten rid of Gerrard so I know I think differently

I also think the Jota thing had a massive effect on the group
Should have done - probably not but - i think it’s had an effect

I don’t buy into the narrative being pushed about the money spent because of the amount we sold

Nunez and Diaz were very hard working players and helped to cover for Salah

The players are all there - they just need a new system
Trying to show horn them in isn’t working imho

Start by solidifying the defence and work from there for me

We missed him for 14 games last season with his injuries. He wasn't selected for several others, even when 'fit'. Nobody denies Trent was a generational talent, but the current Liverpool side seems dead on its feet and lacking in stamina and drive - two things that Trent rarely gave you from about 2020 onwards, even on the minority of times when he was really fit.
