great it well over the top but made a number of decent saves early on when we were a it fragile
He was solid. Most of the saves were actually routine but the one off the deflection was good.
He didn't make any footwork errors and ther was only one occasion I thought he should have came.out and ended a bit of a clarity of defending but he didn't.
7/10.
Just to note.
When Mr wirtz was megged he just stopped and sulked and didnt chase thst ball.
Their break was stopped but still. You dont let thst happen to you without a fight.

Salah on 250 is a real moment tjsts just been mentioned by tnt bit not really picked up tjst much due to the shambles of form
I doubt he will catch hunt from here but to be one of 3 with rush and hunt is a feat I never thought anyone would do in modern football (as nobody would stay long enough if they were that good)

grabs Mac round the throat - instant red but somehow only a yellow.
30 seconds later gets him in a headlock and rolls him over dangerously which in most other sports is a serious offence which can cause injury.
Somehow football really hasn’t worked out that dangerous play around the head should not be tolerated. See any kind of tackle in rugby that endangers the head is an instant red yet football somehow staying away from it. Similar to people leaning into people in the air and tipping them over - should be punished much more dangerously.

Macca made a bit of meal of it, but yeah, Onana grabbed him by the throat so a definite red.
Thing is, it was perfectly clear even on the tv cameras, so who knows what VAR was looking at.

Just watched goals on YouTube again and noticed Mo didn't really celebrate his goal.
Think was just one of those were gifted and didn’t really do anything for it so felt bit embarrassed.
I think Jota's death hit him harder than most and he's just not very joyful atm.
Robbo managed to get a half-smile out of him.
Definitely should have gone imo. However, that one that annoyed me was when the villa player went into the advertising boards. Why stop play? He was off the pitch and receiving treatment. If the Villa players want to stand be his side, leave them to it. Get on with the game!
I think he made that finish look a lot easier than it was. Yes, the keeper ****ed up but it was still a tight angle with is wrong peg and the defender and keeper had time to get into a reasonable (but not perfect) position

FFS, issue praise when it's deserved... We pressed them into making those mistakes.
If you're going to criticise, focus on what happened when Villa broke by the press and we were wide open, every time.
