Best performance of the season, although it's not a coincidence that it came against a team that was tactically set up to play out from the back and barely played any long balls.

Salah seemed to enjoy himself a bit for the first time this season.
Gravenberch improves any team.
I've said all along that one of the main reasons for our disjointedness was too many newbies - only one outfield player new for this season started tonight, and he was the only one who has slotted in seamlessly.

Much, much better. Controlled that game for the most part. Balance better, pressing better, sharper and hungry. Finally…now limit the tinkering and avoid playing Wirtz in a midfield 3 for now.

 

The fact you can go from 10th to 3rd in one game pretty much proves that if you're going to have a wobble, early is the best time to do it.
